Country Road Motel St Arnaud

Large room. Good TV... sensible and easy to use. Not like some places where the TV is hard to navigate. Too complicated.

No fan in the bath room. Noisy trucks ( and trains) Motel is near a roundabout and trucks use it.New towels are needed.

An older motel that was clean and a short walk to the pub

The family room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were clean and had electric blankets on them. Overall, a very comfortable stay for 2 nights. The other regular amenities, like an iron, toileteries, clean bathroom, hot water was all in place.

Was a little bit noisy with trucks passing nearby.

Such good value. The room was spotlessly clean and smelt so good. Two easy chairs made tv viewing comfy and there were two padded kitchen chairs. The bed was comfortable and lots of pillows. The bathroom was super clean, especially the shower cubicle, and the hot water was just the right temperature so as to not scald. There were even cookies along with tea, coffee and a kettle toaster and microwave. It was super quiet as was the split air conditioner.

I liked how clean it was & the supply of shampoo, conditioner etc. My husband liked that shaving foam was supplied & the wipers & bucket of water to clean car windscreens.

The bed mattress was a bit hard for the both of us.

Good location, parking easy, comfortable & clean

Good location although can be a little bit noisy during the day when trucks drive past. Quieter at night. Comfortable bed, good pillows, clean and neat.

Kitchen facilities could include bowls & spoons for breakfast cereal/porridge. Coffee and tea need to change! International roast is not acceptable, switch to Moccona or coffee bags. Lipton is pretty basic, would prefer something a bit more quality.

Easy to find in a good location for travelling through the area. Clean and reasonably priced motel for a short stay.

Parking area was rather small and our numbered parking spot was not outside our room.

Motel needs a major upgrade. Room was quite dingy looking and smelt of dirty socks. Bed was clean but very very firm.o

Close to the local water hole for a good feed. Was able to park a car & trailer on the property ?

The Country Road Motel was excellent value, spotlessly clean and had great facilities!The room had a microwave, fridge and well stocked crockery and cutlery.

A bit of traffic noise in the morning but nothing too bad.

I liked the main mattress/double bed. The room was spacious & clean. Situated right next to the main bed was a 4 plug electrical white power board which I was most grateful to see & very impressed with. I made the reservation/booking on the spot, on the day of my arrival. They were able to check me in within the hour which was very good of them.

The noise of the guests in the room right next to me from 10.00pm until 3.00am. I think the room I checked into used to be a family room because it had an adjoining door that lead to an additional adjoining room. (The door was locked because I checked it). Probably once used as a room to put children in or extra guests. I could hear the 2 guests in the next room very clearly from about 10pm. I could hear something like an action movie being played which also sounded like it had surround stereo system added to it. Then when the movie finished around 12.30am I heard one of the guests leave. Then from 1.00am until 3.00am I could hear a radio station presenter talking or a TV program or a YouTube video. Just a non-stop male voice talking about something . I gave up trying to get to any sleep. I realized because of the housing crisis in Victoria, homeless people are having to stay in motels on a permanent basis. This is the conclusion that I ended up coming to about this situation. They were live in guests. Normally I would request for a quiet room when I book in advance for a motel room, but unfortunately I was unable to do this because it was such quick booking scenario & I forgot to mention it.

On the corner of Two main roads the trucks stopped around 10 pm and started at 5 am .

Traffic! The motel is sort of situated at the junction of two bypass roads for heavy goods vehicles. The noise is pretty constant so my best advice - travel with ear plugs.

Lovely room, clean and good sized. Easy parking for large SUV. Would stay again.

Lovely front of office staff. Single traveller but was given a large room with ample space. Location was quiet.

The shower was a bit dirty but overall clean.
