Old fashioned but the most comfortable bed on my trip.

Instant hot water in shower. Great!

Lighting was a shocker! a lot of bright old fluros, (some came on & off) no working reading lights.

The price and location were the best in the Swan Hill. It was close enough to walk and a coffee break at Mcdonalds was just over the road. It was on the right side of town just before the main street, so when leaving didn't have to fight traffic going back home.

The beds were a little springy, which I prefer, so it didn't affect my sleep. They provided cups, but there were no teaspoons for stirring coffee, only large spoons. Additionally, there were no cleaning items for washing dishes, except for a tea towel. This is just a minor nitpick. Overall, the location and experience were great.

Location was good being inly a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The room was clean and the bed area had been recently refurbished. Very comfy bed and the unit had a decent sized small fridge with a freezer. Also had a microwave and toaster and crockery and cutlery suitable for breakfast (athough no bowls).

Unfortunately the TV reception was very poor but then we weren’t there to watch TV. The bathroom was looking a bit tired but the shower was good and the water hot.

The pictures online looked really good.

It was old, our rooms were nothing like the photos, not pleasing at all, the bathroom had a draw front missing, pillows were old and hard, carpet a meter in the room at the entrance was wet! We asked for 2 rooms near each other so our elderly father could be near us and we were placed furthest away from each other.

On arrival no one at the office so had to call. He come in his car with food in hand. Got into the room to find bed not

Perfect location. And the brochures in the information book helped. Just around the corner from the night time light show

Not what we booked

I was phoned an hour before arriving to say the toilet was broken in our room and we were rebooked in another hotel which was located out of town at the Lazy River Hotel. It was not acceptable accommodation. We decided not to stay. This was extremely stressful and disappointing

Location is great.

Noise from other guests at night, our room wasn't made up and we don't get any fresh towels for the second night. Otherwise everything was good for the price I paid. ?

When I left

The above comments are not for this motel, I was placed into another motel, The Lazy River Motor Inn as the Pioneer had a problem with the room I was booked into. The LRMI looked cleaned, smelled very damp, full of flies (had to go to Coles and by fly spray and Air Freshener spray. The bed was terrible very hard and felt the base or slates, if the carpet wasnt so stained I would have slept on the floor. I have highly recommended the LRMI be avoided at all costs. I noticed the maintenance was very poor, doors not shutting properly, curtains hang off the runners,

The receptionist gave us a key. Opened the door and the room had not been cleaned nor made up. Turned on the lights and it was totally over the top! Must have been a special at Woolies on fluros. Family member installed? No ambient at this place whatsover. Just ok if you want to go cheap and for one night only. Wouldn't go back.

Located on main rd, with railway line behind property. Hard to sleep with the rail & road noise

Over priced. Old facilities even for a 3 star. Walls seemed very thin with a lot of noise from adjoining suites
