finding reception was a little difficult and bathroom was quite outdated

Lovely and clean, great size room upstairs, wonderful hot shower, lovely friendly and helpful staff, nice and peaceful

No breakfast

Kitchen facilities could be updated No wifi

Kettle was broken, dirty sheets. Not enough car parking space.

Location

The property is under renovation and I’m guessing the price reflected this - though I did not see it on the site anywhere - the reception area was in the hotel next door and the pool was closed (the receptionist was professional but was not the friendliest) The room was not ready although we had a call to say it was and we were eventually upgraded when we asked for a refund as were were happy to go elsewhere - we jokingly called it ‘The Bates’ motel as it had a certain vibe about it - the upgraded room was pleasant

It was under renovation at the time and that was not communicated. Had to go next door to the Hently to check in, not communicated until we arrived and read it on the reception door.There was no water in the pool, no Wi fi, the carpets were filthy.

Bad

The curtains In family room were terrible so much daylight the fridge was from the dark ages so small

The location and the beds

Booked 5 rooms. 4 where at the Red Carpet and 1 at the Mantra who have just recently purchased the Red Carpet Motel. Rooms didn't have enough beds in them even though I stated that in the booking. The Red Carpet was outdated but had more utensils and dishes then the mantra. The mantra was run down and outdated needs attention to detail

Price was good

Room set up for 1 person only had 1 bowl 1 set of culteryWhen stayed other places have had a book telling you local attractions places to eat etc nothing in the roomReception hard to find

Location, as in the proximity to attractions.

The room hadnt been cleaned or made up. They finally did a rush clean 5hrs after checkin time. Found lube and box of protection in the bedside... Pool was boarded up and unuseable. Powerpoint switches loose. Mould in bathrooms. Lights not working. Door didnt open properly as beds in way. Adjoining rooms locked and took hours to get opened. No care attitude from staff when issues raised.

The carpet was dirty and enough shampoo, conditioner and don't have spare toilet paper

Very friendly lady on the reception desk when checking in and out. Motel was very cooperative when we asked for a downstairs room. We were given one.Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable..

Traffic noise.

Staff next door at Mantra were good. Bed and linen comfortable

Very tired. New management and hopefully an upgrade soon.

Close to the town centre, easy parking in front of the room

It had everything I needed for 2 nights. The bed was comfortable. The location is very convenient not a far drive from everything.

The shower would go cold after a minute of being in the shower.

Pleasant

Booked two rooms and asked that they be next to each other or adjoining, but they were not.

Rooms were really good and parking was available as well. Provided amenities needed for the stay.

There was a damage to the bathroom ceiling in one of the rooms and it felt uncomfortable to take a bath there. It is better to privide two packets of milk as well as inform the cleaning staff what rooms are vacated because they are start cleaning rooms before 9 am even.

Booking in, plenty of room, nice bathroom. Good to have crockery and cutlery, so one could eat some basic food heated in the microwave and toast etc.

Vertical blind didn't close completely. Fridge froze a bit of my food. I wasn't able to park my car in the designated Room 3 car park. Woodwork needs painting. Bed was a bit hard. No opening window.

There was a plum tree fruiting on premises.

The receptionist checked us in to the wrong room, we were unaware of this. They then gave the same key to the guests who were meant to be in our room who then burst into the room as I had just come out of the shower, which was a frightening experience. The hotel staff then called us and said we had to move out of the room we were already settled into. The only thing they could offer as an apology was a free drink at the bar. The room we were moved into was very run down, smelled bad and the tv didn’t work at all and the staff didn’t try to fix it.
