Masonic Hotel

Not much choice in area. Grateful for being allowed to up grade at last moment. Friendly staff.

Easy to book, friendly, helpful staff, perfect for what we needed at such short notice nice and clean comfy beds quiet a pleasant stay

MYbe just a small rubbish bin needed inthe room

The cleanliness friendliness of the staff

Probably the kitchennette was too small to do all your bfast preparation

This was close to the town centre, shops, and the venue for an event I attended. The staff were nice, and I was impressed with the amount of stuff available in the room like an iron with an ironing board, table and chairs, plates and cutlery, that I don't normally find in accomodations for this price range.

The rooms are above a bar, so it was a bit noisy on Saturday night.

Big rooms very comfortable beds restaurant down stairs

Love this place

Didn’t look flash from the outside, I did think ….. what have you got here? rooms super clean bed really comfortable. Popped down to the bar had a drink with locals really friendly bar stuff really nice.

Location

Overall impressions, this looks a bit like a hostel. Room was small and no wardrobe. Room was clean and everyone was welcoming.

Convenient location, friendly staff and a clean and tidy room.

We stay often. Staff are extremely friendly. Wonderful wonderful

A little disappointed sports bar was closed 7pm when we returned after the function we had attended.

Masonic Hotel was clean and a good location. Staff were friendly. Room was well equipped if you wished to eat in the room

The room itself was great (Room 10)Rear entrance was also great with access to the back for my car. Closed gates also was a bonus

The room was clean and comfortable with a little kitchen and very comfy beds.

The road has loads of traffic and it was a friday night so bikers had to make their engine roar at the robot under our window.

Friendly staff, very helpful to quickly get settled - made room for the bikes out back

NA

Friendly staff, quiet room. And the staff were great.

Bit old and dated but was expecting that dud to its age.

I liked the fact it was above the function room for the party we attended

The creaky floorboards and hall doors were loud in morning as people passed through

The location was fantastic, right in the center of town and near the shops and several friends of mine. The staff were friendly. The place was very clean and homey.Access was good, and we appreciated the off street parking.

The room was a bit small for the price, the 'kitchen' was just a shelf with a plug in fridge, toaster and jug. The only source of water was the bathroom sink. The water pressure in the shower was basically nonexistant. The bed was fairly uncomfortable, giving me some back pain. The chair was a bit small.

Friendliness and easy direction

Finding a plug close to the bed but there were other around the room :)

It was clean, tidy and the bed comfortable

The location of the motel was very central and easy to find. The rooms were homely and the staff were amazing!

Everything was comfortable, clean and lovely. The staff look after you like family, couldn’t be nicer. The hotel has a bit of an art deco theme going on which is really nice and the location is fantastic, q10 minutes walk into the centre of town , 5 minutes walk to the art gallery, museum and NZ rugby museum. loved the fridge filled with cold bottles of water you could help yourself to. Totally recommend this hotel.

The standard room is compact but it has everything you could want, bedroom/living area, bathroom separate toilet.
