the motel was directly on the route to napier my destination.

a happier welcome by staff, more attention taken by the groundsman ie washed the front of unit just before i arrived, the entrance door had swollen & was hard to open & close & there was a large pool of water inside the door. in the morning the milk suppled had frozen, had to melt with hot water. reported fridge needed fixing.

Felt very welcomed upon arrival, lovely staff. Situated in a great location, close to the local park, pools and just a few minutes to the supermarkets, kids thoroughly enjoyed the spa and separate quiet space upstairs for them to enjoy, the room was really warm and comfortable. We made use of the kitchen facilities and our family really enjoyed our 2 day stay here. Would definitely come again!

The element on the stove top oven was only going to one temperature which was really high could be an easy fix by an electrician just keep an eye out for your food cooking. The fan in the bathroom did not work and resulted in the entire room needing to be aired out to avoid dampness and moisture during the night. The tiles around the spa were a bit out dated but did not affect spa use and we still thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay.

Owners are amazing!! Great attitude, very welcoming and positive! Lovely cosy unit with everything we needed. Very child friendly and right over the road from the Esplanade which is a child's dream...also great big you love walkhng/running/biking. Highly recommend!

I loved the place...the spa bath was a little aged, shower pressure is average. The beds down stairs were OK, but the top bed had a firm area in the centre. Nothing that would stop me going back though

The owners daughter was absolutely awesome and accommodating to our groups needs! Spa bath in the room was a hit with the husband after a round of golf. Loved sleeping on a good firm bed. Highly recommend this motel and we will definitely be back...literally next weekend!

Great location and wonderful staff

Room was run down, bathroom was not very clean, listing referenced different beds than what was in the room. Ultimately it was a low cost budget room but I did expect a little better, the staff were so nice that this was the only saving grace

Friendly staff. Comfy couch.Was very close to where I needed to be.

Was old and lots of sand had blown under the door as I walked in. Room was not checked before I arrived. Dirty floor towel and face cloth were left on bathroom floor. Bathroom very outdated with no towel rail, water too long to heat up, toilet didn’t flush well.

The staff were amazing!! We had the 2 bedroom apartment. It was very homely we will stay again for sure.

It was a large room with a great functional kitchenette, a dining table, couch, and bathroom.

Location and cleanliness along with a very quiet room.

We thought the location was great. The staff were very friendly and nice.

We couldn't lock the front windows in our particular room as one of the latches was broken. The room could use some small updates, otherwise a decent stay for one night.

Clean and spacious

Shower control was broken and keep falling off even though we had been told about it and tried to be careful with it.It also looked like it had been faulty for a while as there were a lot of marks where it had fallen onto the tiles.It needs to be repaired or replaced.

The fan was great as it was hot and the studio was very large and spacious and well away from the road and quiet.

It would have benefitted from an information booklet which is usual in NZ motels, and a better choice of TV channels. The 50 Sky channels motels like to say they have are often poor, with religious programming, cheap and nasty lifestyle channels, one-hour delays of free to air channels etc etc.

Well placed for us.

Uncomfortable couch. Tired bathroom facilities. Only one wine glass. Only one pillow each.

Enjoyed the confort of the rooms and sleeping till morning. Pleasant surprise knowing family own the business

The shower pressure was a struggle. However did the job.

The closeness to my conference

I had a leaking toilet, and I slipped over in the morning, i have hurt my knee. I went to tell the staff but were not up.

It was close to where I wanted to go or for what I was there for.

No aircon and it was bloody hot....there was a fan which didn't help much. Reception doesn't open till 11am I was told which I think is pretty late.

The room was clean and bed was very comfortable.It was a quiet location and handy for the city.

The towel rail in the bathroom needs fixing. I was in the accessible unit and there is need for space. I would like a better way to store clothing in the room.

This is a Motel with very spacious rooms, like a small apartment. Well equipped, definitely a bargain for the price. Would suit families too, as close to park and across from water park. Very friendly and helpful staff.
