Comfort Hotel Benvenue

Not very far from Tekapo since we couldn't find a room there

Friendly staff, good food

Very dated, old furniture, difficult shower, older heaters, Lots of road noise Gym was freezing cold which made moving fast really necessary, older equipment

Room was quite spacious, bed clean and comfortable, think we had a refurbished room as bathroom looked newer than the rest of the room, room was basic, no frills, ok for a night stay, Front staff good on communication keeping in touch as we may have arrived after hours. Location good.

The price, it was quite expensive for such a basic room, but we decided to stop overnight after a long drive and booked online, The front staff were nice but didn't know much or give proper instructions about the carparking,( we arrived late and it was dark hard to see ! ) restaurant / breakfast options were not given but was told the end of the road had some takeaway restaurants nearby

Bed too hard.

Room: incredibly dark with dark red bedspreads/ lime green wall behind , totally insufficient lighting to an extent that it was almost impossible to see anything properly.Exception to the above was bed lights over the double bed which were OK.Could be improved with better decor and lighting ( would probably result in return bookings )

Breakfast was OK but thought it was included. Milk, soft drinks and snacks in the room all had to be paid for, 5 dollars.

Noisy main road with roadworks outside. Charging for milk, soft drinks and snacks in the room.

Excellent attention by front desk. Polite and nothing to much trouble.Chef very obliging also and great meals.

Have nothing to dislike

Very responsive and kind. I booked on line 30 mins before check in at 23.00 at night.Bed comfortable , easy to find, easy parking, they opened reception especially for me. James was great

Staff were so friendly when we arrived it was early and we were allowed to check in our room had just been cleaned.The staff always said good morning and greeted you with a smile I would highly recommend and we will be back close to the bay .thank you

We were close to the street, and the traffic was so noisy unable to open window and doors because of this. We had a family suite would have been nice to have a microwave in it.

The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable.

The room wasn't very clean, it needs a spring clean to get rid of the dust and mould in the bathroom.

Door wasn’t open after hours, only by chance a side door was open and I could get in. There was a phone number provided to call in case of door closure, but I am a tourist and do not have the means to call a NZ number. If the side door had not been open..I would have had to sleep in my car!

Motel in need of an update. Booked seaview and balcony....but couldn't see the sea!! Balcony over the car park!
