Pros +
- Old style motel, but clean and comfortable. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach and the town centre. The restaurant was very busy for dinner, the food was excellent and the service attentive.
- Was clean and enjoyable.
- Wow, this is the first year that I have stayed in the self contained unit at Beachway motel and I can assure you we will be back and booking this unit again.Davina, the hotel manager, was polite, professional and so happy to help in anyway possible. We were running late to check in and Davina was extremely helpful in ensuring we checked in once we arrived with no fuss or bother at all. She called to ensure we were ok and once we arrived that caring nature and personality shone through.Upon entry you step up into a ample sized mud room area that is complete with hat and coat stand. It boasts a beautiful sandstone brick feature wall that leads off to the bedrooms, bathroom and laundry and to the right an open planned living, dining and full sized kitchen. It has 2 spacious bedrooms featuring a King size bed in 1 room and a Double and single ensembles in the other. Both rooms have built in robes and plenty of storage space no matter of it is one night you are staying or a month. It has a spacious bathroom with beautiful water pressure that easily fills the generous sized spa, and an easy to access corner shower that opens up like a lift.It has a simple style that is both practical and functional allowing you the luxury of staying away but comfort like home. The dining room has a large dining table that comfortably seats 6 but enough room for 8.The lounge has a large TV and 2 click clack couches that are easily wiped down and fold out if more sleeping arrangements are needed (though, id suspect this maybe a little uncomfortable!)Off the lounge and dining area are sliding doors that lead you into a private backyard with a pleasant garden at the back and grass for the children to play and a deck table and chairs to enjoy on those warm summer evenings with your loved ones. The kitchen has everything needed to save money and dine in with home cooked meals with a large fridge, oven and stove top and a dishwasher to help clear the mess away afterwards.
Cons -
- The shower was very dangerous. If you are showering children please be careful. It would go boiling hot then freezing cold.
- It would be helpful if the bathroom had a higher toilet and a grab rails, however in saying that, there is a small tiled wall separating the spa and toilet area that allows one to weight bear to pull themselves up.
- Refrigerator is quite small and could be defrosted to be more user friendly and efficient also the freezer compartment needs to be reshaped (bent back to shape)to stop items slipping out.Shower rose could do with a CLR treatment to improve spray pattern. Lighting in room needs to be sorted to match switch controls to give better options (dimmer controls didn't work and light arrangement to switches not organised well). Electric blankets on beds possibly a little bit premature as temperatures not that cold at time of stay.

Pool and the location of motel
Window coverings
Convenient and very clean
The bed was somewhat hard
Room was super clean, the bed was nice and comfortable. I was running late and a msg was sent for my room number and key location. Park outside my front door
The room was very clean and modern, much better than we were expecting. Our booking was very last minute, but they made the check in very easy. The bathroom was great with a fully adjustable showerhead (Yay!!!)The bed was very comfortable. The bedside power outlet had USB ports!Good size, easy to access carpark
The internet was so bad that we couldn't get the TV to load anything. It's possible the staff could have fixed it, but we arrived after hours and were both unwell from the ferry crossing, so we didn't feel up to contacting them.A weird thing, it had a toaster, but no plates or cutlery, so we couldn't use it :(
Clean and comfortable old school motel
Restaurant was closed.
It was quiet and clean, the bathroom was well spaced .
The toilet ran all night. The dining room was unimpressive.
Quiet, clean, good position
Lady was a little abrupt on check-in and eager for me to leave at checkout.
Comfortable bed, size of room, all staff been amazing to us as well, everything been beyond expected.
Nothing there not to like
I liked its location and the grassed area. I have been staying here for years.
The car parks are very narrow. We had a large Ute parked in our spot as their spot was not big enough. This was highly inconvenient and we had to tell the owner of the Ute to move. This was unpleasant and he slammed his unit door because he had no where convenient to park.
Location, cleanliness
There was a bird stuck in the eaves that made a lot of noise
The wifi was not too bad, and the pool was easily accessible. I like that it wasn't too difficult for those with mobility issues to enter the hotel room.
When we first got there the reception had trouble accessing the payment. Our beds were not changed at all, towels rarely got changed. The bins and floors were rarely done. When we asked for the toilet to be fixed, it wasn't fixed and we asked on multiple days.
Pool was lovely! Nice comfy and quiet rooms!
Lady seemed quite rude
The location was convinient, close to the shops and tourist places. Place was clean and pleasant. The kids enjoyed the heated pool, no time limit. The garden was nice and well kept, nice view from the room. Quiet place. Staff were very ccommodating.
The other room we booked which has a x1 large double bed, the room has some kind of smell, like musty carpet smell.
The location and pool.
The toilet smells
I liked the customer service by reception girl. I am staying there again on my back trip from Tasmania on 26 jan.
