The Menai Hotel Motel

There was no hot water and I mean none, the water did not flow!! The lady told us it was slow however after waiting 20 minutes it didnt start flowing on either the shower tap or the sink tap.

This Motel was exactly what it said it would be. Had a party there and the staff and food were great! beautiful views from the dining room, wish we had of had an apartment with views! Would stay again if we needed to be in the area.

I would have liked a couch or an arm chair but it wasn't a big drama!

Needs maintenance, a bit run down, singing shower (water pipes) very loud.

Food was great at the bar and staff were lovely

Noise travels through the vent ducting echoing into the room and the shower had no water pressure so if you want a hot shower it was only a trickle of water but if you wanted a cold shower you had just enough to make it spray. Lighting in the room was low.

The room I had was large. It had a wonderful view. But, everything feels like it needs love. The windows are dirty. The curtain are dragging. The heater didn't work (for more than a few seconds) I would not stay in winter. It could be beautiful. One other important thing your email to verify your have booked, does not say ring when you get there. I was tired and had no idea... I want to say go - go stay in the hope more revenue will allow the owners to fix up the place. I can tell in its day it would of been somewhere special - not the ritz - but special.

The vent in ensuite above hand basin blowing out cigarette smoke smell to rest of room. The No Smoking sign is of no use.

Friendly casual atmosphere. Not expensive. The meals in the dining room were good.

Room and facilities dated. Still had a lingering smell of tobacco smoke.

Quiet, comfortable bed, convenient to work. Manager was very friendly. Good size room for one person. Convenience of microwave and bar fridge was helpful.

Glass in fridge had sticky residue in the bottom. Microwave oven had food stuck on the inside. Window blind was so stiff that the chain came off it's runner and I had to raise/lower the blind by standing on the bed and rolling it from the top or pulling quite hard at the bottom.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking was easy and convenient.

An info pack regarding wifi details, breakfast etc would have been helpful, rather than just verbal.

Quaint older style rooms that still retain their character and tasteful fittings.

A bit out of town but a quiet location.

Too much cigarette smoke in hallways from people smoking just outside the doors.TERRIBLE parking! Badly lit, didn't feel safe for me or the (packed) ute.

Did not know breakfast was on offer. Location suited what I had to do in Burnie

I suffer hayfever from dust. The bench and tv had not been cleaned covered in dust so was the heater.Lights in bed area not working. Only light by front door.

Simple, dated, motel. Floors could have done with a vacuume (dead insects everywhere), otherwise clean.
