Pros +
- The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location looking out at the water. The room had potential and was mostly clean.
- no breakfast provided
- brutal
Cons -
- The shower was very difficult to use. The water would rush in hot and cold, alternating throughout your time in the shower. The showerhead was awkwardly positioned to hit you in the head and it was quite small. The water also ran out of the shower and into the bathroom and pooled in the corner. The facilities closed at 9 PM. OK if you’re looking for an early night, but if you’re on holidays and wanting to have a nice time, we expected a hotel or pub to be open at least until 10 or 11. There was also no Internet for streaming. So when we headed back to our room, we couldn’t even watch television. The food was a little disappointing, rather small serves, and the seafood, for a coastal location, was not the best. There was also quite a bit of noise from the patrons downstairs and other holiday makers across the road. Again, all of these things would be fair if the price also matched.
- when I checked in early in the day the staff said they couldn't find the main set of keys to my room so they gave me the spare keys which were incomplete & said they would find & give me the main full set of keys but she didn't, & luckily I didn't stay out late as the missing key was the key to get into the building, I only found that out the next morning when I went out to my car parked next to the building but when I tried to get back in to the building none of my keys fit, so I had to wait for someone else to come along & when I told them my key story they said that that had happened to them as well so they understood my predicament...!!
- It was exactly what its name portrays. A patron kicked out the door to one of the bars and later in the night people were doing burn outs in front of the pub while shouting abuse at someone. When i arrived late to my room the main light was not working but was not an issue as the stadium standard lights for the carpark were mounted outside my room.

Liked the cleanliness and the new renovation
The fact that there was no remote control for the tv And weren’t told of the live music until we had signed in Did ask the staff for a remote He didn’t come back he just needed to say they didn’t have on Maybe don’t put guests in the room above the bar Friday Saturday
Great location, very good shower and friendly staff.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we were woken a number of times throughout the night by cigarette smoke seeping into the room.
Handy location, great harbour view.
Our original room had no view whatsoever. You could not see through the opaque windows. Even though we paid a fair amount for that room we upgraded to a better room.
Very clean
Small rooms poor ventilation and extremely hot at night
A good location, friendly staff, one suggested places to see while in Wynyard, and the hotels restaurant offered a good variety of food.
For what our rooms offered, price is at the high end of other comparable hotels in TAS. Very squeaky floor boards in our rooms, no.6 and no.7
Good location and value
View was listed as river or courtyard but our windows opened on to a noisy, smelly service area with Aircon units and kitchen ventilation. We kept the windows closed all night with no Aircon I wouldn't go back in warmer weather.
Very poor
no a/c in room with large west facing windows = very hot
Close to town and across from the estuary. Nice bright updated room which was comfy.
The electrical system in room was dodgy, mostly off a multi box.
It was a well-appointed room which had recently been renovated from Hotel to Motel style. The meals were good and reasonably priced.
our room was on the second floor and it was a maze from the car park to the stairs. The stairs are steep and narrow and very difficult to carry case up. this was not a pleasant part of the visit,
Very helpful staff, and It was great meeting Sylvana ☺️. She made us welcome.
No complaints ? all good.
The staff are excellent, they are friendly, helpful and very honest, my wife left a valuable gold chain in the room and they called to let us know it had been found. this is a big popular hotel with well priced food & drinks
Band was a bit noisy early in the night
Great location, overlooking the river. A large renovated unit with friendly staff. The hotel meals were good quality and value. Free pool table on Sundays
stairs to second floor a bit difficult with baggage
Very friendly helpful staff. A plus being able to order pizzas and eat them in our apartment. Staff helped carry bags upstairs.
Clean, comfortable, had everything and meals were great.
The room we had was small but comfortable enough. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The restaurant had the best food. Our meals were exceptional?
Location, Staff wer good.
Room should have had aircon, it was very hot and sweating on day 1
Location
Bathroom. Shelf is missing in the shower to put your essentials on. Load music is coming up from the bar until 11.30 pm. Couldn't sleep it was so loud
