Burnie Airport Motel

Breakfast was great ,the venue needs a clean and tidy and updating. The lighting was dusty the round paper lanterns we're dented and dirty stuff pilled up every were needed to be put in storage Room.

need to clear up naming confusion. Premises trades under 2 names; Burnie Airport Motel & Wynyard Waterfront Motel, but only uses the latter in sms correspondence -very confusing!

This is an old fashioned motel that has been brilliantly re-imagined by its current owners. It is in a great location right on the river with an excellent walkway running past that meant an easy walk into the town centre where we met friends for dinner.Our room was quite small, but we expected that. However it made up for its lack of size by being beautifully presented with lots of lovely details that made us feel really welcome. Both management and staff provided great service and couldn’t be more helpful. They really know how to run a hospitality business.We enjoyed our breakfast in the motel restaurant after it had been recommended by our local friends the night before.So all in all it was impossible to find anything to criticise, even in a small way. We have already recommended the property to some friends and would have no hesitation in staying there again when we’re next in Wynyard.

Friendly staff and a nice clean room with everything I need. It’s always a nice stay.

Unfortunately our rooms were next to the reception and frequently when we returned, another car occupied our spot and was often there for a number of hours.

We loved the location being right on the water. Loved the 60's decor. The room had everything we needed and more. Everything was in good condition.

The bed was a little high for my wife but very comfortable.

The room was very spacious and clean. The view was amazing. I had the best time and the bed so comfortable.

Clean, modern, great location. Love parking outside my room. The Vaults walking distance and the airport is 5 mins away. Can’t fault my stay. Cute personal touches to signs in the room were nice too. Thanks!

Quiet and central location close to river waterfront and walkway , beach, town. Great coffee shop with lounges and excellent coffee. Very friendly staff.

The accoms were superb, the staff were just remarkable, the location was 10 feet from the water, the breakfast was large, delicious and serverved with a smile. How could it be better? I honestly don't know. Thank you!

There wasn't anything I did like

We didn’t use the breakfast facility but on observation were very impressed with the selection on offer, and the presentation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and efficient in all areas of work. The location was beautiful, facing the water. It was a 10 minute walk to town so very convenient. It was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

I didn’t like having to do the dishes in the bathroom basin so bought a plastic bowl for the job. Also the bathroom floor tiles were extremely slippery when wet so caution needed at times.

The location was near the water and downtown. Just a short walk to the pub. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was great value.

I only stayed 1 night for work and would have liked to explore the region more.
