Located on the banks of the Inglis river, The Waterfront Wynyard offers a range of accommodations types in their motel units, all north-facing, with views across the waterfront precinct. The guest lounge is open Monday to Thursday evenings and offers guests a selection of local Tasmanian wines and beers to enjoy while soaking in the views. The motel is just a few minutes' drive from the Burnie/Wynyard Airport and 20 minutes' drive from Burnie. It is 45 minutes' drive from Devonport and Stanley and 1.5 hours from Cradle Mountain. All rooms have reverse-cycle air-conditioning to keep you comfortable during your stay. All rooms also have tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar items for purchase and private private bathrooms with showers. Also included in all rooms is a flat-screen Smart TV and free WiFi. Offering a traditional motel-style layout, all guest rooms are located next to each other and parking is right at your front door. Beautiful place to stop over in Wynyard, absolute waterfront, walked across the road to the river. We only stopped for a night but the renovated room was lovely and very comfortable.

Location wonderful / had a lovely evening board walk on our doorstep and walking access to the town.

Very comfortable, superb sunset over the water.Quiet and away from traffic. A walking distance to places to eat. That was the best choice for accommodation in Wynyard!We met the NSW Historic Vehicles on their 2025 Tasmanian tour again after seeing them in Stanley. They were staying near us. Nice to chat in the morning.

Fantastic location, easy access, beautiful view of the river every morning. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hosts are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and they’ve thought of everything to make sure you have a great stay!
We found the position good, although vehicles parked directly outside the room spoilt the view. The bed was high and hard for us, personally. Generally quiet overall. Room lighting could have been better for reading on the sofa. We would return.
