Set in a historic building of central Funchal, Monte Carlo features a large elevated terrace and roof-top pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is located only 2625 feet from the Funchal Marina. Free internet access is offered in public areas. Rooms at Hotel Monte Carlo are equipped with cable TV channels and private bathrooms. Some open out on to a French balcony with stunning views of the city and the ocean. A continental breakfast prepared with fresh ingredients is served in the dining room, overlooking the mountains. In the Retro Bar, guests can enjoy a cocktail or a Portuguese wine. Facilities include laundry and daily maid services. There is a daily minibus coming from the Marina to the end of the street of the Hotel Monte Carlo, every 30 minutes, except on Sundays.

- The hotel building is simply super from the outside. Complete relaxation, cozy, clean. Breakfasts are purely Portuguese + coffee is very tasty. Wonderful staff. Special thanks to Ray.
- A lovely hotel with amazing views. Rita and her father were great hosts and the front desk/bar staff were very hospitable and friendly, nice people.
