Hotel Tamasite

It is close to the port.

Mold on ceiling in both bedroom and bathroom. Weird smell in the room. Thin walls, I could hear everything from neighbors. The room was just bedroom with 2 not very comfortable beds and bathroom, no couch etc. I left the next morning. Avoid this place, especially if you are coming to Fuerteventura for vacation.

The staff (I mainly dealt with one gentleman) were polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clearly rather old - judging by the elevator, which has 2 doors, one which slides open automatically, the second you need to push open with your hand - but no less appealing for it. Room had everything required including cupboard, TV, fridge (with bottles of water) and ensuite shower, sink and toilet. Shower gel etc, toothpaste and toothbrush provided. Excellent location near the front. Shopping mall and bus station a short walk away also. Free Wi-Fi provided as well.

Whilst the location is convenient for exploring, the hotel is also in close proximity to a nearby bar - and as the weekend came around, I found myself being woken up at 2am for nights in a row due to noise coming from the street. - Also had a bit of trouble unlocking and opening my hotel room door on arrival. The key turned ok but the handle didn't seem to catch on turning. I was close to going back downstairs to advise I was having trouble, however in the end (probably more by luck than judgement!) I was able to let myself in. I soon got the hang of it after realising the door would open with a fairly gentle push once unlocked (turning the handle not particularly required). - (Not particularly a minus point here). TV had at least 20 channels. However could not find one broadcasting in English. - Also had some trouble getting hot water in the shower. It may have been dependant on what time in the morning I was showering (varied between 7am to 8.30am), however I was only genuinely able to get hot water on 1 day. The rest of the time, the best I could received was lukewarm (and that is a slightly generous description there ;-) ).

The hotel is old and some things outdated, but ok if you're looking for a decent place to sleep and be near the center.

Nice to be close the the ocean and the harbour, to watch the activity in the port with new ships arriving every day.Very service-minded and friendly host. Nice room and comfy bed.

Location

Very dated and dirty - shower curtain covered in mould. Any new items - like new washing basin in bathroom - nice and clean (credit to the cleaning staff). Sheets - cleanish...

Close to the marina, a nice cafe/bar nearby..

Basic and the place needs some care and looking after

I really liked this hotel, very clean, great WiFi, lots of hot water for the shower, the bed was very comfortable, the room a little dated but location and price great!

There wasn't anything I didn't like, it was perfect for my short stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very basic, reasonably priced, and in a good location. The building is also painted blue on the outside making it easy to spot from a distance! Although there is no restaurant on site, there are plenty of shops selling food locally, and in the reception area there are coin operated drink machines. There is a terrace on the upper floor with good views where one can watch the ferries coming and going into the port. The director, Domingo, is very helpful and ordered me a taxi on the day I left to take me back the airport.

Central, basic, but lovely extras like water, toiletries. The service is welcoming, it was our second stay there. Only ever 1 or 2 nights when travelling and would always use.

For a long stay holiday, it is not a resort with bar, food etc but for basic short stays you cannot moan about location or welcome

You get what you pay for. But staff are friendly, check-in is easy and location is convenient for bus stops and for the waterfront.

Room is basic, bed is not particularly comfy.

The price and quality are fully justified. If you plan to sleep at night, it is better to take earplugs with you, as it can be noisy at night due to the clubs and bars nearby. Close to the beach, clean in the room.

There is mould, especially in the bathroom, but for a short stay it is perfect.

Central location, great view over the port. Clean and tidy room. Value for money. Friendly staff.

Close to a very noisy bar. Kept up till 3 am on one night. Used earplugs on my second night. Also the ships entering & leaving port can be quite noisy.

The receptionist was helpful. You get free toiletries, a couple of water bottles, clean towels and bedsheets. Thankfully, there were no bugs indoors.

Everything is incredibly worn down and would benefits from a complete renovation, repainting and mould treatment. The room had no sea view. There is a busy road right underneath the balcony, so you get the noise and dust from there even in the middle of the night.
