    Pros +

    • Sympathetic hotel, very green. Loved the fact that it features a small shop with local (mostly) organic products, and a (mostly) organic restaurant. Breakfast was very varied, every day something different on the buffet. Close to lots of good restaurants.
    • I had the most wonderful stay at Explorers! Stayed there for a week in the premium room. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed and cared for. The team here goes above and beyond, and I cannot say enough about the amazing staff.Special thanks to Franck, Chance, and Henry for their exceptional hospitality. You made my stay unforgettable! At the restaurant, Judith, Joseph, Saadab, and Salima were phenomenal. The food was delicious. The rooms were clean and spotless. Can we talk about the shower? The water pressure was incredible. It made every shower time such a treat!Overall, the entire staff was extremely polite, friendly, and always willing to help. Their warmth and professionalism truly made my visit special. Thank you so much! Will definitely recommend.

    Cons -

    • Bathroom was not very practical as it lacked a small bathroom cabinet or plank. If people were walking outside, could get a bit noisy.
    • There were tea bags provided, which I appreciated but perhaps adding instant coffee would make it even better for coffee lovers like me.
    • No water in the first room (in the older building, not the new complex, water shortage affected everyone in that building), and the room I originally booked which was very small and crammed- it was hard to move around inside.

The original room I was in was not nice at all - small, crammed and there was no water for more than 8 hours on my first night. After complaining multiple times, they offered me one of their premium rooms (which are shown on the Booking.com page so don't be folloed - you have to pay a lot extra to stay in the nice ones) - that was much nicer.

No water in the first room (in the older building, not the new complex, water shortage affected everyone in that building), and the room I originally booked which was very small and crammed- it was hard to move around inside.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a high-quality, budget hotel with clean private rooms, a central/good location, and good nutritious food. It’s a little more expensive than a hostel private room, but the attached restaurant REVIVE is such a good selling point. All staff were super friendly and chill for my stay. No drama - Frank was especially super nice and was very flexible with my booking! Highly recommend if you are not wanting to splurge too much, but still want comfort and privacy.

WiFi in my room didn’t work very well. Around the whole place it was unstable.

The room was way too small i did not expect that. Although there was a fan, it was very hot as there were no windows.

We made the upgrade for a better room with a/c. Much better than the standard room. It worths the money.

Breakfast was excellentThe bar was above averageNo noisesStaff were awesome

It would be better if the hotel can consider having their own taxi for pick-ups and drop-offs. Otherwise, all was well.

A nice, clean, comfortable hotel in one of the best locations in town. The Acacia Mall is a short ride away, many great restaurants are around. the area is quiet and the service is good. The room is comfortable (we took the better one on the second floor), but we found it to be a bit smallish and the shower - though hot and powerful - is not well planned. Breakfast is excellent and the price makes this hotel affordable and well worth. Recommended.

Good location and green environment within the city. Friendly stuff and I like the outdoor gym.

Our room was close to the metal staircase and was sometimes noisy because of that.

    7BettyPosted on: 1-28-2025

Breakfast was good. Staff were very willing to help and ensure comfort.

Standard room could do with A/C, fan was too noisy.

Safe and serene location, Revive restaurant breakfast

Room was smaller than I thought

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The bar/restaurant is full most days but never closes very late during the week and the music is never too loud so the nights are quiet. The bed is very comfortable. There is a nice little shop at the location with a variety of locally made products and food and an amazing shopkeeper.

Interesting first day but no need to get into the details. From then onwards the stay was super comfortable and worth the money. Super nice staff and owners and always willing to help and very attentive. Would definitely stay there again.

Not the hotel but the Revive restuarant which was also nice and with good food and staff, but no local food menu? Would be nice to include one or two local dishes on the menu but otherwise a super nice place as well :)The pictures of the standard/standard double should also be updated. I had to upgrade as soon as i got there. Worth upgrading if you can. Worth it.

The restaurant of the hotel is super, the breakfast was great and step me up for the day. In the evenings they have a good choose of mains to finish off your day. Any slight issues I had were dealt with directly. Staff were very nice and friendly

No complaints on my part. The price / qualithy was super, you get what you pay for so don't expect the sheraton

Very friendly staff who greeted me late in the evening after mechanical issues during my drive to Kampala. The restaurant was open till 11pm and cooked a lovely burger with fries for me at 10:30pm. Superb breakfast too. Location also very quiet and convenient. Would recommend.
