Pros +
- The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff are highly attentive, and the services Spa were exactly what I needed after long travel. Highly recommended. Will be my hotel of choice for future visits.
- I have stayed at the Serena hotel several times and always happy with service and cleanliness I have no complaints, only compliments And I hope to go back next year
- It was clean and very pretty.
Cons -
- My room was on the 4th floor and it took quite a bit of time for the hot water to come on some days (sometimes 5-8 minutes before it would start flowing). In some cases, I didn't like wasting so much water, so I showered in the Spa on the ground floor.
- There is nothing to complain about
- Need some updating and some repairs and didn’t feel like I received value for the money laundry prices extreme and breakfast beef heavy no chicken or turkey options

Old vintage look, very friendly staff and cleanliness
For that price, they need to modernize /upgrade the facility, right now the rooms lack simple modern conveniences.
Very near town, cleanliness and breakfast
Good size rooms - good food, good service but its expensive
The cost of everything
Location was good
### ⭐ Honest Feedback – Food Quality Needs Serious ImprovementWe checked in as a family of four, and after a long and tiring journey, we asked the receptionist for a good place to enjoy a nice steak. We were kindly recommended *The Explorer Restaurant*. We all ordered well-done steaks and waited about 20–30 minutes for our meals. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, we were quite disappointed — the steaks were extremely tough and difficult to eat. Sadly, none of us could finish our meals that evening.A couple of days later, we decided to try the main restaurant, hoping for a better experience. My wife ordered the beef biryani, but once again, the meat was very tough and unchewable. The same went for the spring rolls, which didn’t meet the expected standard of a five-star establishment.Overall, I would say the **food quality really needs improvement**. Everything else about the hotel was fairly average — not bad, but nothing particularly outstanding either. I truly hope the management takes this feedback constructively, as the hotel has great potential if the dining experience is improved.
The staff, especially the bellboy, were exceptionally friendly, and the rest of the team was equally welcoming. My friends and I were treated with respect and care throughout our stay. The Elemis body and bath products were an added delight. ?
The food was a disappointment. I ordered a curry and, while I understand Indian cuisine can be rich with oils and fats like ghee, my dish was swimming in oil. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy it and felt nauseated upon the first bite ??. It was a chicken dish, yet it was excessively oily, not due to natural fats, and could have benefited from more tomato, coconut milk, or crushed cashews for balance. The dish felt basic and bland, and remaking it isn’t the solution—getting it right the first time matters. I expected more from the kitchen.
Rooms are large and facilities are very good for spa, pool and gym.
Food is very average. While the rest of the staff in the hotel are great the multiple restaurants are B staff are not attentive as wait staff and of disappear even in an near empty room. Food takes forever to come out of kitchen.
We arrived super late but were warmly welcomed by friendly staff and our request was met perfectly, the deluxe room is always on point and the food is great.

The staff at Serena are just great. They are warm and attentive, and remember your order!!!
No dislikes on this visit: all previsit requests were adhered to.
Friendly and personable service from the staff. Great breakfast. Very green surroundings and close to the EU Delegation offices, where I had meetings.
Breakfast was a bit expensive - would have expected that to be included in the room rate.
Great breakfast spread, nice forest like set up and walking area, staff is very helpful. Price is a little highly
Location in the city center. Lovely Garden and the ONLY 5 Star hotel in Kamoala. Breakfast is good too.
$280 a night with breakfast for a standard room. Being the only 5 star hotel there is no competition. Shows lazy management for there is no attention to detail. Rooms are over 20 years old and tired. The safe, Cupbaords firtirngs are all worn. Even the cupboard doors are missing handles. No holder for the bidet shower. Stains on the floor.
Location, size, facilities, safety
Not kept up to date, looks tired
Loved the breakfast, cleanliness of the room, friendliness of the staff and the overall ambience. The hotel is lush and spectacular
No complaints here
Everything. All the staff were fantastic together with the hotels location. Would highly recommend this hotel. We were here for 7 days
It was okay. Serena is known for its scenery and thus met up to my expectations
The food prices were crazy. Room service was pricey but the food was good, don't get me wrong. I wish there was more options for food
High class business hotel, with all amenities possible. Very nice pool. Very nice routines to serve the comfort of the guests. We found a baby cot in the room, as requested. Very supportive and friendly staff.
At arrival the 2nd bathrobe, the 2nd set of slippers and the 2nd set amenity kit were missing, the TV set wasn't working. On request these lacks had been fixed. Hot water for shower takes long time until coming out of the tap. The mini bar at the room offered limited complementary soft drinks, refilled at the 3rd day, however the fruit bowl not. It should be considered this is a hotel mainly occupied by business peoples, so you will find at the breakfast and also around the pool people having their computers with them and business talks. An order for a snack meal (chicken wings with chips) at the pool took almost 1 hour to be served. After departure I realised, I paid the laundry service twice (cash at delivery and in the final bill).
