Breakfast was good, warm shower was good

Hotel is dated and needs upgrade. Hall way and entrance Looks very old, flooring has scratches.

The distance from the main hotel to the apartments.Shower had some problems.Leaking water closet.

Good location, good value

A bit old. TV doesn’t have Netflix or YouTube.

Older facility, showing some wear. Clean spacious room. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location is pretty central in Kampala, but in a very busy area.

I had reserved an apartment, but was given a regular room on check-in. I was told that there was not an apartment available. After two days, I was offered a move to an apartment, but chose to remain in the room. Included breakfast is mediocre, and seems not to be geared towards European or American travelers.

Breakfast should start around 6:30 AM, as many need to leave for meetings by 7:30 AM. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; the only issue is with the hot water.

Food services need great improvement as it takes ages to be delivered.

The location is good but it's a loud place, no matter which part of the hotel you're in and especially when you're in the Speke Apartments.

The misrepresentation of the Speke Apartments which aren't even part of the main hotel - poor quality, windows not closing, very outdated and far from the main hotel.

There were no face towel, hand napkins, shampoo in the room.

Excellent property on the main road near government buildings & conference place.There is Iskcon temple with Pure Vegetarian restaurant-Govindas.The morning breakfast also had Indian Vegetarian food - Thepla.

Central location

Cold showers, poor security e.g. windows didn't lock, breakfast wasn't great

The location of the hotel is very good with just a three minute walk to Kampala Road en less than 10 to the Taxi Station and main city center.

The wait staff in the restaurant is annoyingly slow with their service. It takes 15-20 minutes to receive drinks when ordered and more than 10 minutes to receive the check upon leaving the restaurant. We drank pineapple juice and coke zero mainly in the first few days and once they were out of stock no resupply came for the following 5 days until we left.I would recommend not to use the laundry service as they ruined a pair of jeans with bleach.

Near to town and shopping area

They charge y card with USD dollars and they should charge by shilling ( country currency ) and they insist to charge by USD

Stay at the Speke Hotel regularly. Great ambience and good value in th middle of Kampala. Staff helpful, nice quiet room . Car parking. Works very well. excellent breakfast al fresco. Wifi good too

Nothing really. Seems a shame to have to run the shower fir hot water to come. Once it arrives it is fine

Breakfast was good and location is great ??

1. My first night was an horror. I couldn't get any sleep because of road noise. 2. The room was not decent. Everything was dirty and worn out. 3. Was transferred to another room the following morning which was much better until Saturday morning when there was no water supply. It was a terrible morning because they made me miss my physiotherapy appointment

Staff, location, service, the look.

I missed breakfast.

The facilities were old. The reception stuff was so nice and kind. The supporting stuff were a bit loud. They come in a room without calling first, No extra goodies like tooth paste the toilet and sink were very old the shower didn’t have hot water

The location is very central and very convenient for the business traveller. I enjoyed the walking distance to most essential places in Kampala.

There is need for maintenance like the creaking wooden floor. Improved variety for breakfast would be a plus. The noise from the road was not an issue for me but some residents may find it problematic.

I stay at least 8 times a year at the Speke and use it as my base when going in and out of Uganda. The original hotel which is vey good value and big rooms. They know me well and give the rooms I request. Food good and love sitting outside for breakfast. Has car parking and very convenient
