    Pros +

    • Location. Friendly staff
    • The staff was friendly and the chalet was spacious. Although Forest Cottages are very central you are surrounded by trees and other plants what creates a nice atmosphere.
    • It felt like we were in a rustic and beautiful setting. Lots of shade and even velvet monkeys were playing in the trees. The grounds were clean and well maintained and the night lighting was awesome! The staff were always very attentive and kind. Always offering and assisting with helping us with our bags. The food is soooo good!!!

    Cons -

    • Too many steps
    • A lot of things were missing in the kitchen although they were listed in the description. There were neither dishes nor cutlery, no microwave, no oven and no dishwasher. The bed was very small with a length of around 1.90 m or less.
    • The fact it felt like we were in a cabin and in a jungle. The trees and views were beautiful.

    Very peaceful and serene

The resturant service especially waiters outside are really not proactive it took a while to get any service despite the waiters hanging around.

The location was an unexpected oasis in the middle of Kampala. The breakfast was also delicious.

The night we were there, several graduation parties went on late into the evening with very loud music. This made it very difficult for everyone in our party to sleep.

    Bad value for money...

The room was very cold... The curtains did not cover all the windows, and the window by the entrance did not even have a curtain...Very disappointing...

It’s in the middle of the City and very Green

Almost all was good, mosquito nets could be bigger and I was missing a power Plug on the lower Level of the cottages

Comfortable rooms. Fans in rooms for cooling. Good wifi and nice breakfast

    No air conditioning

The scenery was good, more greenery in a hidden spot within kololo area, the breakfast was extremely good with chefs preparing eggs the way you like, great side dishes, fruits, tea coffee superb.

As I had booked a single room, the washroom was slightly small for a big guy like me ,I referring to the divider between washroom and showers there wasn't room to keep my feet. But it was manageable, and phew! Alot of steps to climb But overall great

Very good breakfast. Clean swimming pool with towels, sauna etc Good food and drinks at the restaurant. Very calm and very green. Welcoming staff.

We had to wait 45 minutes after we reach the hotel at 4pm to have our room while it was supposed to be ready by 12pm.

    the location

There was noise everyday throught the evening and night because of parties. too many mosquitos as mosquito nets in rooms had halls in them the breakfast was very bad

    5IsottaPosted on: 12-8-2024

    Passable

My room didn’t have windows and it was dirty and noisy

    9PatrickPosted on: 12-1-2024

Breakfast was great. Free (good) internet. Pool table. Good dinner options. Clean 2-floor room. Good location in the city. Enough parking facilities.

The bed was a bit short. The tiles in the room give it a bit dark/cold character. Unfortunately, no microwave or cutlery in the room.

    6ShandiePosted on: 10-21-2024

    Good breakfast.

Parking issues and preference is not given to who is sleeping over, its loud since there are many parties going on, kitchen closed early so we had to order food from the Villa. The room photos need to be updated to reflect the reality of whats really going on.

The best part was that you could go to Kabira Country Club and use the swimming pool and gym for free. I like the cottage and its serenity and the common areas, especially the outdoor sitting. The pool is also nice. Please keep prioritizing the garden that makes this oasis special from other places in the area. The food is good, though the breakfast could use an upgrade to accommodate more healthy choices by offering Yoghurt or oatmeal. Roomservice was a nice treat.

The picture of the room on booking did not look like the one they showed me at all. I had to pay a lot more to get the cottage that was shown on the picture. It smelled a lot of mold downstairs in the cottage. The bedsheets were not clean and had mold. I think it also came through the walls. So I'd get concerned about my health staying their for longer. The interior upstairs is ugly. Especially the glass coffee table, the TV and the TV table. That did not create the relaxing atmosphere I was looking for. The downstairs terrace seems odd because there are no sitting options which makes it useless. The light is way too bright and also ruins the vibe.
