The place would be great if it wasn't for the uninformed closures of the road due to the president of Uganda either coming to or leaving Nakasero.

The facility is well located in the heart of Kampala making it easy to access most facilities around town as well as security at the hotel, the parking too was readily available.

Stacy, at the Reception was really exceptional

The fact that there is a prayer "shrine" at the reception and people were burning incense and praying there in full view of the other residents. That was very bad.

Location

The manager I don’t remember his name but he is Indian nationality was not helpful and tried to take extra amount than agreed at booking , foul smell in the place. The rooms are poorly ventilated and the place is unsafe. Also the room was in available, they offer studio. With extra money .

Location is good, room is good, food is good. But most important is customer service is holly bad, such as the person named Arijit Bose, he deceiving me twice!!! Very very bad experience from him, he made hotel level down. He never smile to customers, even people found he is deceive, he has no shame, others staff they are all good all friendly, only this guy Arijit Bose, toooooo much bad experience from him. I don’t understand why hotel boss let this guy contact with customers, he needs to be fired. I’m traveling more that 50 countries and stay more than 500 hotels around the world. it’s my first time meet a person who working in hotel like this.

If the person named Arijit Bose leave this hotel, everything will be great.

To start the staff were amazing, extremely helpful, courteous, and kind when above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was happy

The television in the room only had Chinese journals and they promised to fix to give me English-speaking channels, but I never happened. The air conditioning in the living room and in the bedroom never got cold and instead of shooting out hot air there were also no utensils in the hotel room no cups no spoons no plates no microwave.

TV not working and it is set in Chinese language , I tried to change the settings to English but I required a password to reset it. So I spent my stay there without watching the TV which was really annoying.And the breakfast was not that good, they can do better

Newly done up property, Nice rooms, separate sit our area and a small kitchen, clean bathrooms, nice entrance lobby.

Water pressure and temperature of water in the bathroom was not good. Could add more vegetarian options to the breakfast.

Spacious room, responsive staff

Advertised stove and self catering equipment which the room did not have coupled with limited options for cuisine. Excellent Chinese food with limited Indian food options. Snack and Western meals not available.

I enjoyed my stay at Meilin, great location and staff, Sky Bar is a fun place

This hotel is beautiful, clean and exceptional. I wish I had more time staying here. If I ever find myself in Kampala, I will definitely stay here again. The team at the reception, warm and welcoming, the breakfast was great, they allowed us to sleep in and checkout late. You guys have no idea how much my friend and I loved this place. 10/10 recommend.

I loved everything, nothing to complain

-BREAKFAST -being serviced in the room / which was never on time / very poor service and NO accountability. i even missed my appointment and the pick up had to wait for long . - there was pub music booming in the night and the sound was so disturbing/ till late night /early mrg.

Location and Stuff

They are not changing the bed sheet regularly. And not put soap on the toilet. No cabel connection is also available. Internet speed is 6.00MBPS

Bad

Everything: poor WiFi, no breakfast, they didn't accept 2009 USD notes, it rained inside the room, they promised day before I would have had basket breakfast that I paid at 6.30 am. At 7.15 am I left without anything!!! The breakfast room was not even settled! Local personnel ok. Chinese managers not at all. Usual cheap and poor quality furniture and accessories. Recommended to be banned.

I have nothing but praises for my stay. Beautiful hotel, I was awed when I got there, my colleagues too. Beautiful rooms, I got more than my money’s worth, especially if I compare it to other hotels I stayed at that week. Very spacious rooms and every detail has been thought out! I didn’t lack anything.Very friendly staff, all smiles and the breakfast was exceptional. Keep up the good service Meilin! I will definitely be back!
