Location was excellent being so close to Nishiki markets and the main retail strip. Great coffee places nearby also. The room was clean and cleverly designed to include a sofa and a desk and a large bed. Ability to use laundry also very useful, and free!

Hair dryer was a bit small and lacked power.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. For those wondering, there is always a reason why this hotel is booked so fast. Not only the room was spacious enough, but also gave an atmosphere of clean and beautifulness. This hotel is around 5 minutes walk from the bus station, and 6 minutes walk from your local station. This hotel is also close to Nishiki Market, as well as other delicious restaurants and cafes. The concierges were extremely helpful, especially helping you get to know around as well as guiding you with the luggage delivery services, and definitely made yourself feel right at home. Try this hotel, should it have any open bookings available!

Breakfast was a croissant service labeled with each room number by the elevators, very cute! There are also plenty of breakfast options nearby the hotel, but it was a nice touch to have some croissants to start each morning. Staff was very helpful, they let us check in slightly early. They also helped arrange luggage delivery to our next hotel in Tokyo.

Room/bathroom was slightly small but a good size for Japan overall! I did appreciate that there was a full bathtub. It was also a little warm (even in November) but we just turned on the air.

Great location and facility; room was compact but very well set up and with all the comfort and equipment required. Staff were great and helpful.

Nothing to dislike at this hotel

I loved the location and staff. They are really helpful and considerate. The facility was very cozy and clean. The room was bigger than the previous hotels I stayed.

This is my fourth stay here and I would absolutely stay again. I have stayed in all types of rooms and like the standard best for my needs. I travel solo and appreciate the king size bed vs. the tatami. I love having the fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee in the room. The hotel is very quiet and in a great location. The staff are always friendly and so helpful. The free washer/dryer is also a great bonus. The housekeeping staff are extremely kind.

Overall, the beds are comfortable, although a bit too firm. I like a firm bed, but a little extra padding would be appreciated.

    Room a bit small

It exceeded out expectations. Perfect location. Lovely decorated, spacious and clean room. Very comfortable soft bed. Netflix availble. Free croissant every morning. Free laundry, and if your clothes end up finishing in the middle of the night the staff will leave the clothes in front of you door. Everything was perfect here. And the entire staff was amazing, very helpful, very friendly. We traveled for 1 month all through Japan, and this was hands-down the best hotel we stayed at. If we ever come back to Kyoto, we will definitely book here again.

    Nothing :)

Great location and very kind staff! Rooms are nice and clean. Would definitely recommend.

It’s a simple and neat living space! Great for 2 people with plenty of extra space for luggage or bags. I loved how deep the bathtub is & all the staff are kind.

I LOVED everything at Miru Kyoto Nishiki. The rooms were larger than I expected for Japan. I got a tatami room for the experience, and the bed was super comfortable. The housing cleaning staff were very mindful and attentive. The hotel staff were always available and attentive to my needs and questions. Bonus was that the hotel was located in the best part of Kyoto. Right near Nashiki and surrounded by great stores for shopping. My favorite hotel in Japan by far!

    Everything was perfect.

    9BallPosted on: 7-12-2025

Croissants every morning! Defog option on the mirror, extremely helpful staff and tablet in room with restaurant recommendations. It was so central and easy to walk everywhere and pop back for a nap in the AC.

What a little gem of a hotel! We chose this location as opposed to their Gion one and did not regret it one bit. The hotel is boutique with great products in the rooms! We loved the proximity to Nishiki market yet quiet at night. Therear eco many little places to eat and drink that we wish we could have stayed longer to explore! The front desk helped us with dinner reservations and went out of their way to help!

Nothing at all - we LOVED our stay!

    9MIRANDAPANDAPosted on: 6-10-2025

This location was amazing, not too close to the crowds but not super far away either. We also loved the room, nice and big and comfy. We stopped by early and they held our bags for us on our first day which was super nice. Also the morning croissant were really good!

    10pkandrk18Posted on: 6-5-2025

The location is within easy walking distance to multiple train stations, as well as Nishiki, Teramachi and Shinkyogoku covered markets, Gion and Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. We loved the fresh croissants each morning and also made good use of the laundry facilities. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Kyoto.
