Great location, very clean an comfortable, they stored our bags for free the whole day

Location was convenient - close to train and bus stations as well as tons of restaurants and stores nearby. Free umbrellas to borrow which came in handy during a few rainy days. The room was cozy quiet and comfortable, had a firm mattress which I prefer, and I could see a top of a pagoda lit up at night from my window.

The room was great but the best part was the location, it was near quite a lot of great places for food, entertainment, and adventure in Kyoto. The restaurants nearby were all solid choices, and within a few mins of walking. Strong recommend.

Clean room with a decent amount of space. I personally liked the garbage bins on each floor. Laundry room was decent. There is an elevator. Staff was super nice.

Room was always stuffy and I was put next to the ozone machine which made my room smell strange.

Likes: Clean room, comfortable bed, separate heated toilet, close to transport and overall location

Dislikes: Toilet smelled & the shower water pressure/temperature was difficult to regulate i.e. went from hot to cold for several minutes and then cold to hot all on its own accord

The room was huge by Japanese standards. There were only two of us and we used one of the beds to spread out our suitcases. Location fantastic. Great gyoza restaurant next door.

It was so close to everything. The room was comfortable. For the price, it was perfect, especially for a week-long stay.

The location is great, staff is helpful and the rooms are big enough and clean.

As there is a street restaurant/bar just around the corner, you can sometimes hear the people talking loudly.

Great location

You cannot control the temperature in your room, so you’ll have to suffer through a hot and muggy room as they have the heat on even it’s mid 70s out. The shower are is also very small and cramped.

Our room was on the first floor, which made it very comfortable. The location was perfect, right in the center of all the tourist attractions.

The room was very small. We only had two small bags, so it worked out fine, but otherwise it could have been quite inconvenient. The refrigerator didn’t work, but since we only stayed for a short time, it wasn’t an issue for us.

The location is centrally located to restaurants and shops. There are nightclubs and bars around, but I felt safe. I had a massage at the hotel. Very good and reasonably priced.

The lobby is very small and can get congested. No streaming, only japanese tv.

Out of the three hotels we stayed in Japan for our trip, this hotel has the softest towels! On top of being in a great location (very close to transit and shopping areas) the staff were very kind and helpful! I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to Kyoto!

Everything and everyone! Room had a lot of space compared to Tokyo. 1 king size bed and 1 single!

Proximity to shops and train stations

Room was initially very warm but that was easily fixable

Fantastic location in the heart of Gion. Very close to metro station. Easily walk to kawaramachi, which is the heart of great restaurants, Nishiki market, major shopping areas. Also close to shirakawa canal, Yasaka shrine etc. Cannot expect a better location than this. Even in the heart of Gion, the neighborhood is quiet at night. The hotel and room are clean. The beds are very comfortable.

The room itself and the bathroom are very small.

The floor smelled because it was carpeted.
