Room not cleaned daily, toilet rather narrow

The room size

The place was clean. I liked that it had 3 separate beds for the 3 of us. Most of the other hotels we stayed in only had 2 beds and they were full size so 2 had to share a tiny space and 1 got a whole bed.

When we checked in they charged a fee that we had to pay to check in, even though I had already paid on line. That was a bit annoying. They had a mini fridge but it didn't have a freezer in it. So my ice packs that I brought to transport the insulin we had to bring couldn't freeze. I had to buy bags of ice. cause all the hotels freezers in their mini fridges didn't work. But at least the fridge worked. It is a long walk from the train station to get there about a mile or more

The staff are very friendly.

They clean the room once, not every day when we stay for 4 nights.

location was not close enough to convenience stores and train stations.WIFI doesn't allow us to connect to the internet. I was using my data all throughout our stay in the hotel.there was only 1 microwave and 2 washer/dryer for the whole hotel to share.

There's not much to say, it's a normal Japanese budget hotel. A clean and fairly large room, tiny bathroom, comfortable bed and everything just works. The price per night was what I would expect from a budget hotel in Japan. The location is quite good, Gojō Station is only a five minute walk away. Kyoto Station is a 20 minute walk away. I like to walk so I usually walked to Kyoto Station in the morning. There is a decent selection of restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The southern end of Teramachi street with lots of shopping is only a 15-20 minute walk away.

Just some tiny things that could be improved. The keypad to get into the hotel at night is a "high security" one which randomizes the numbers on the buttons. This feels like overkill, it's the entrance to a hotel, not Fort Knox. Having to figure out which button is which when tired is just a bit bothersome. I wish the table in the room had been square instead of round and also slightly larger. That would have made it more convenient when I had to sit and work at with laptop in the evenings.

Typical American hotel experience on a budget. Rooms are spacious, staff is very friendly and helpful, some speaking clear English. Good location, coin laundry, free water bottle fill up. They will hold your luggage for you if you arrive early and want to see the sights.

The beds were firm, just slightly uncomfortable.

- I loved the bathtub in my room;- The check in went very smoothly using a machine;- The laundry service was very easy to use and very conveninent;- There was manga provided for enjoying in the reception lobby;- Staff members were super nice and helpful ( I had to leave at 17 and they held my luggage till then even though the rack was full);- No need for keys/cards etc. The entrance to the hotel and to the room are 2 different codes;- Location wise might not be close to the attractions, but the neighbourhood was very quiet and easily reachable from Kyoto station;

Clean, comfortable beds and reasonably sized room. Was able to slide luggage under the bed and liked the space for a table and chairs. Good value for money.

The staff spoke perfect English and Japanese and were very helpful during check in and when I would ask for help with something. The location is great for exploring Kyoto but still in a relatively quiet residential area. The room was small but still had plenty of space for our two suitcases and still had space to walk around.

They didn’t clean our room a single time during our 3 night stay despite us being out from around 9am to at least 6pm every day which was a little abnormal to me.

Mostly OK, clean and all the standard points (expect for a comfy bed) are checked.

The bed was very strange und not comfortable for my back, woke up with stiffness and also the sounds it made where not that pleasant (something like glass/metal scratching). Typical Japanese is that it is quite small.

The room was spacious and clean on the first day and the staff was really nice. The location is great too

We arrived at 2pm and wanted to refresh a bit in a bathroom before leaving to explore, but there was no common bathroom available, and the check-in was only at 4 pm. We could leave our luggage, though. During the stay, no one entered to clean the room, which we didn't understand if it was standard or not. The last point is that the checkout is at 10 am, which is a bit early, considering the check-in was 4 pm.

Great easy to find location. Close to subway and bus stops as well as konbini for breakfast.

Small lobby and no extra pillows. If you do wash do very small loads as the machines don't dry well.

The hotel is well situated: 20 min by foot from railway station, 17 min from Nishiki market, 10 min from direct train to Nara and 15 from direct train to Osaka. The street on which the hotel is placed is quite, so we had a really good sleep. The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful - our daughter got sick from some food that she ate day before and we were allowed to check in earlier w/o additional fee.

Our air conditioner was broken: condensed water was dropping, which was a bit annoying.

The room was average but suited us as a family of 3 A bit further away from all the locations we wanted to visit.

The beds were very hard. Wanted some blankets as we were cold and they didn’t have any. Had to ask for the microwave to be cleaned. Lift floor was filthy. Room very dusty.Liked being able to get towels however if you returned late at night there were none.

The staff were kind and helpful. Check in and check out was easy. Location was a challenge for public transport late at night, approximately half an hour via bus into main district in daylight hours. No buses past midnight to this location.
