I thought that the beds were a bit hard.
This location was nearly unbeatable! Next to Nijo Castle, and for those that like a quick brisk walk, 15 minutes from Nishiki Market and the Samurai Museum. Definitely plan on booking this hotel again if I return to Kyoto!
The single rooms were a bit small, but I understood beforehand about maximizing space. Just made luggage storage a pain. The beds were a bit hard and made my hips hurt as a side sleeper
Good location and nice spaces (both common areas and the room).
The bed was extremely uncomfortable, so the first I didn't sleep much. However when I mentioned this ti the staff, they were very nice and offered to add a topper, which solved the issue. Also there was only one choice of breakfast which I could not eat, so I ended up skipping it even though it was included in my booking. It would be good if this was specified in the information provided by the hotel.

Very convenient location, can get to all major tourist spots easily. The room was clean, very pretty ceiling art and a beautiful view from the window. Can take some manga/books for evening reading. Highly recommend.
The location was good. It was within walking distance to numerous sites and subway lines. The manga book shelves were cool and they even had a few series in English which was appreciated. The staff was always very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were large enough and the bathrooms were really nice.
The bed was very uncomfortable. (I ended up supplementing with a blow-up airpad.) The chair in the room was also uncomfortable if used for longer than 5 minutes.

Japanese man that worked evenings was rude. Asked for an extra pillow (I was provided a single stiff small pillow) and straight up said no). The bed was actually hard and extremely uncomfortable. Overall unfriendly staff and bad bed.
Clean, convenient and quiet
The location of the hotel was ideal for sightseeing.
Our bathroom was not clean when we arrived and after indicating we wanted it cleaned each day the clump of hair on the bathroom floor remained that was clearly not ours.

The property is clean, offered refreshments and breakfast, is close to Osaka Castle and a metro station.
It is further from the main station but in proximity to the city centre.

There is a hidden Tourism Surcharge that is not included with the booking price. I have no problem paying, I just didn't like that it was hidden and not a part of the original booking.

Fabulous corner room view. What a cool design, like I was looking over the city. Bento Box breakfast veeery good. Other cool drinks for whenever in the lobby. Nice staff!

Comfortable and clean rooms.
The twin rooms are a bit small; we had one big and two carry-on bags, and we couldn't open them properly. Even after we closed them and placed them behind the door, we couldn't open the bathroom or the room door. We didn't mind that and took it as something funny. But we only stayed for two nights. If you're planning to stay longer, prepare for a little space.
The location was great and near a bus stop and 7-11. The books were cool and the toiletries were nice. The room had a small wet bar area too!
The beds were so uncomfortable and hard. The room key had to stay in the light switch to make them stay on. The room was small but the beds were just so uncomfortable!
