The OneFive Kyoto Shijo

The staff were great! Rooms were smaller than expected especially for the nightly rate. Strangely shaped room. Good bathroom and comfortable beds. Location was great but, transportation is weird. Most of the time best to walk. Clean!

This was a really conveniently located hotel, near lots of bus stops and many convenience stores. The shower was life changing (turn on all the different sprays, you won't regret it!) The room was pretty good sized, especially for Japan, and had a mini fridge and a desk. There was a 7/11 downstairs with luggage forwarding services that we took full advantage of. We did the check in online in advance which did make the check in process very easy once we got to the hotel.

everything was superb. the room was spotless, getting a lot of sunlight. no disturbing sounds at all. it's near the relevant bus stations for tourists and also close to metro as well. its 10-30 minutes away by walking from shopping areas.

The hotelroom was clean and spacious, there is a 7/11 next to the hotel which was very convenient. Location is great, a lot off restaurant and 5 min walking to metro station.

the mattress in the room looked lil not so clean, felt dusty, could be coz they were old, but i feel when you walk bare foot the mattress should feel clean but that wasnt the case though.

If they could associate with any parking company for customer it will great, since finding best parking lot is a bit task

The room was comfortable, with a cozy bed and an amazing shower. The location is good, close enough to the center but a bit more quiet. Good value for money.

They don’t have a luggage forwarding service. It was a bit more challenging for us to fill the form by ourselves in the convenient store (but it’s an option).

The OneFive Kyoto Shijo is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the station, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. My room was clean, comfortable, and bigger than expected for Japan. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. It’s a great base for exploring Kyoto.

I was disappointed that late check-out was not available. It would be nice if the hotel could offer more flexible check-out options.

This is a great hotel to base yourself in Kyoto. Rooms are huge compared to other rooms in Japan and it really ahs everything you need + super clean.

We chose the hotel because of its location. Every bus or train we took always was close to the hotel. Also super easy to grab a taxi in the street.The room was small for 2 large suitcases and 2 trolleys, but we know that in advance. The layout is very functional and we managed. The shower was excellent. The room and bath were clean.The hotel is located on a corner in the city center, but on the 9th floor we did not hear noise from outside.Excellent blinds on the window.The 7-Eleven downstairs, the Tully coffeeshop and another food delicatessen shop next to Tully (forgot the name, excellent bread) around the corner kept us fed well in the mornings.

When we arrived in the room, there was a connecting door to the next room, which I never like. I was immediately kindly offered another room.I love soft mattresses and the bed was a bit hard for me. My husband was OK. The reception gave me 2 extra mattress covers which let me sleep comfortably.The shelf on the bathroom above the sink had no space for our 2 bulky toilet bags, so we just took out what we needed and out it on the shelf, no big deal, just a minor note.

Prime location, not too busy area. Only 20 min walk straight to Gion. Clean and nice facility, very spacious bathroom.

Value for the money

No additional amenities- even the coffee is for a fee. No forwarding luggage delivery

I’ve stayed here before so I knew it would be a good experience. I like that the train station is very close (Omiya) and lots of food options.

The hotel lobby often smelled like cigarettes as well as the elevators. There were always lots of luggage in the entrance as well so it looked very cluttered. Maybe place air fresheners in the elevators since many travelers use that small space.

The location is good , close to bus stop and metro station . Also there is a seven eleven just under the hotel .

The bed was so hard and not comfortable at all . I had very bad sleep for 5 nights … and pillows are tooo soft I had to use two . Check out at 10 am like why this early ?!! In Japan hotels offer 11 am check out .

The hotel is in a very good area, close to buses and the metro, and even within walking distance of some attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and several supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient.The room was clean, and the bathroom had a decent size — the shower as well. If you’re quite tall (above 1.85–1.90 m), the shower area might feel a bit low because of the ceiling height.The staff were nice and helpful. In the lobby, you can find free toiletries and pajamas, and there’s also a coffee machine with reasonably priced coffee.

The room is on the smaller side, which we already knew, but it can feel a bit crowded with luggage. You’ll need to keep your bags close to have enough space to move around comfortably.
