    Pros +

    • This was the best ¿hostel¿ I¿ve ever stayed in. Besides just how awesome the technology for these little rooms are, everything was a vibe. Staff was amazing, guests were cool, the common area was lively, and most importantly, everything was super clean
    • The facilities are easily the best for any hotel I've ever stayed in. Free beer helps to gather everyone and it's very easy to meet people.
    • Very nice accommodations. Though it is best to look at different platforms because some are less expensive than others. As a solo traveler was easy to meet other western travelers who spoke English.

    Cons -

    • Checkout is very early, but I think it's sort of normal in Japan.
    • It's more of a criticism for Kyoto. This is on a very busy tourist street, though not far from more quaint areas of the city.
    • The guests are rude. They're staying at a hostel, but think they are VIP. For example, I saw a latin american guy doing a video conference in the guest lobby, and instead of using the private, noise proof rooms, he would just yell during the entire video conference so everyone could hear him. Pretending he was some important big shot staying at a hostel.

The beds and personal space was very comfortable! The location is awesome! You walk outside the hostel and are right next to the Nike and Uniqlo stores and in the middle of Kyoto area. The staff is welcoming and professional.

Great location, comfortable capsules, clean washrooms, good breakfast, and a great common area. Good turnout for happy hour in the lounge. For a light sleeper, I had surprisingly great and uninterrupted sleeps in the capsule dorm. Definitely recommend.

    No notes.

This is a very well-located, comfortable place to stay in Kyoto. The pods are very well engineered and super comfortable. There's plenty of room for your things, and the sofa/bed combination is great. This location is also more social than others, and the coworking space is really great. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

The dryer was broken the entire week that I stayed here, and based on other guests and other reviews, it had broken for awhile. Their solution was very inconvenient and ineffective.

Clean, great staff and perfect location

The free beer, the people I met there, the staff. The working area. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. A lot of toilets and showers compared to the number of beds.

My capsule was just under the air conditioning and it was loud, but not unbearable.

Great location, clean and comfortable facilities

The staff was friendly, the location was great. Air conditioning was amazing, when it was a good 40 degrees C outside. A lot of food options in the immediate vicinity and a lot of shrines ans temples within walking distance. Or, alternatively, There's a bus stop across the road.

Wonderful staff wonderful ambience! A great place to make life changing positive experiences! Close to shopping, busses, trains, and tons of other amazing experiences Kyoto Millennials quickly becomes your second home!

    I had to eventually leave

We wanted to experience a capsule hotel, and this seems about as good as it can get - it was clean, and SO quiet at night - we were so surprised! The espresso coffee machine in the morning was a huge bonus and the shared spaces were comfortable and inviting.

Well, we're old - and it was a capsule hotel :) - so in order to go through your things, you had to sit out in the hallway to access the luggage rack below your bed - but all in all, it was a great experience (we would have loved it when we were younger!)

Stayed at this place before and would stay again. The capsule is large and spacious, great quality. The rotating breakfast of bread, soup and yogurt is a quick charge up for the day. All in all, fantastic value.

Great/very spatious common area, showers and restrooms! Great location. capsules were comfortable and well ventilatedRooftop access for your bicycle if needed!

N/A - except for the mandatory concept of using a digital device for controlling the lights and vents

Very well located. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Great lounge area to relax, eat or meet people. Great overall value.

The best capsule hotel I’ve stayed in ever. It is so close to everywhere, its clean the staff is so good. It’s so comfortable for the female guests

    10MeganPosted on: 6-20-2025

Great location with proximity to a large market for a shopping and eating. Clean, quite pod floors, all the amenities you need.

I would skip the breakfast, it’s just bread and soup. Soup is usually gone if you come late.

    7DerinPosted on: 6-20-2025

Very interesting experience. The pods were pretty cool and not too cramped as I was expecting, since there was luggage storage underneath the bed. Staff were helpful and I met a couple travelers which was cool. Location was nice, close to shopping/dining areas and the station

Like others have said too, the clothes dyers are pretty bad. Took me like 80 minutes to dry a little bit of clothes.

    9LancePosted on: 6-3-2025

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in the world. The pods give you a dorm-style price while feeling a little bit like a private room. The beds were comfortable (and cool that they incline with a remote control!) and the common area was great and modern with views of the mountains. The icing on the cake was free beer for an hour in the evenings, giving me a chance to meet other guests. As a solo traveler, this was the perfect way to make the hostel feel social. I would absolutely stay again!

The breakfast didn’t look very exciting

Personally I never stayed at capsule hotel, so it was my first time trying it. And can tell, i chose the right capsule hotel (it was clean, spacious, nobody snored, everyone was respectful towards each other).
