Gion HANNA STAY

The staff are superb, and the rooms were exactly as advertised including great apartment style amenities. The location is a 5 minute walk to train and subway stations. There are many food options within a 15 minute walk.

Unsafe. The doors didn’t lock. The photos were not as posted. The room was so loud. Wouldn’t have left our belongings. We cancelled and didn’t stay and will submit do reimbursement from Bookings.com

Loved the in room washer/dryer combo. Nice big room for Japanese standards. The kitchen also was a nice plus if I needed to cook or freeze things. All instructions in Japanese had an English guide. Staff were really nice and great at explaining everything. Location was great close to metro and Keihan station as well as the hot Kyoto attractions.

Excellent location, very close to shops, restaurants, the river, Gion Geisha district and Ponto Cho.Very practical with our own washing machine in the room. Fairly spacious room too, or rather a small flat with fridge and kitchenette.

We loved everything about our stay at Gion Hanna, the staff were extremely helpful, our triple room was clean, and very spacious. It was conveniently located, walkable to Gion area, the subway station, and to convenience stores. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Location is quite strategic and easly access by subway. Most important is quiet not too many cars passing by

Our check in was simple which was great since we arrived late in the evening. The room was very large for two people. We appreciated having the washer/dryer and the ability to cook in our room. The hotel was perfectly located for our short stay. Access to trains was simple and we were able to visit many shrines, shopping venues and the new Team Lab Biovortex without wasting any time.

The floor was made from an interesting material. We were happy that slippers were provided

Perfectly located next to Gion and just a 5-minute walk from the bridge to the city center. Convenient access to Kyoto’s main temples and attractions, either on foot or by a short bus/metro ride. Quiet area, well-equipped with all needed amenities, and excellent value for money.

Spacious rooms with lots of drawers and hangers. Loved the drying room for our laundry. Laundry in unit was also great and a living room area with table and desk. Also enjoyed the luggage forwarding at front desk.

My stay at Gion Hanna was exceptional. The location was perfect, easy walk to 2 different subway stations, making it convenient to get to most sights in Kyoto. My room was comfortable and the AC worked really well. The bed was very comfortable; I thought it might be too firm, but no, I slept really good. The little kitchen was perfect for fixing my breakfast every day and for heating up leftovers for dinner. The bathroom was large and the shower worked really well. The front desk staff were very helpful with questions I had, and were kind to store my luggage upon arrival. The hotel was also in a perfect location to walk to the main Gion area with all the shops and restaurants. Considering the prices of hotels in Kyoto, Gion Hanna was a great value.

I can't think of anything I would call out; my stay was perfect.

The location is superb. Walking distance to old Kyoto, convenience store, train station, mall and restaurants. The room was clean, spacious enough for three people, quiet and comfortable. I liked my morning or late night walks in the old streets of Kyoto. There is a great template nearby that is very quiet and not so full of tourists. A must see!! This apartement was my favorite during my trip in Japan

The bathroom is in excellent condition, the kitchen is fully equipped, the location is convenient, and the overall cleanliness is very good.

Only the air conditioning takes some time to cool, or perhaps I was not handling it correctly.

The location is very convenient, close to Gion and metro. The room is cozy and quiet.

Nice location near the metro and walking distance to activities. We even walked all the way to the Nishiki Market. Nice shower and kitchenette. We appreciated the table in the room so we could get some work done.

Beds were not comfortable at all. Pillows were strange and smelled weird. Unreasonable fee of 30,000 yen if you lose your room key card.

Sometimes in the evening, some bad smell like toilet smell in the entrance. Only in the evening and not every night, kind of mystery. We air the apartment out.
