Immaculate place, great amenities for a cheap hotel. Staff was great even stayed late for us and watched our bags the morning we left after checkout so we could explore. Extended our stay because we loved it so much. Fantastic Kyoto budget hotel.

The amenities were excellent, including having a small kitchen and a washing machine in our room. We made this hotel our home base for 3 nights in Kyoto, and it was everything we needed. The rooms were also a good size. We did not feel cramped or like we couldn't open our suitcases

There wasn't much space to hang our clothes after washing them. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't provide a clothing rack or anything outside of a few hangers per room. some of our clothes didn't dry all of the way because of this.

Positioned rather close for some of the city's attractions if you want to explore on foot , while also being close to the subway. The room was clean and the staff were very nice.

Great amenities, especially laundry on each floor, nice separate toilet and shower, and strong water pressure from the rainfall shower.

Location is a bit of a walk from the hustle and bustle.

Really lovely and cozy stay right in the heart of Kyoto. The room exceeded our expectations with it's style, comfort and ease to access all top sightseeing spots. Would absolutely stay here again!

Occasional loud cars racing down the street in the middle of the night woke me multiple times on multiple nights.

The location was ok, not sure how safe the area is, but it is Japan so safety wasn't a huge concern as in the US. The room was smaller than expected, even for Japan. If you are on a budget and need a place to sleep, it will do. You have a bed and a private bathroom—bare necessities. I'm sure there are much nicer places in Kyoto for the same price.

There was hardly ever a person at the reception desk. No amenities and no easy access to much in the evening.

Super friendly staff. Simple and adequate accommodations including free use of laundry machines on your own floor and morning coffee.

The size of the location. That the room 2 included washer/dryers, bathtub outside and full kitchen.

There were small areas that show wear/tear. The elevator, outside the room and lobby could be updated.

Close enough to public transportation, and within a 10 minute walk of major shopping streets. The staff was very accommodating and spoke great English. There was free access to cold bottles of water in the lobby and laundry accommodations on my floor. My room was cleaned regularly and well maintained.

The key system is dated, I would've liked to have seen a more modern key card approach where I didn't need to leave a key behind at the desk when I went out.The walls in this hotel are very thin, the people staying next to me were incredibly irritating. I didn't complain so I can't fault the hotel too much for this (although I would've liked to have better sound isolation).

The location was great and convenient. We appreciate the in room laundry. Since we got adjourning rooms, we had access to two washer. It took one load of laundry for us to understand the time it takes to dry clothes. It worked out fine that we brought mostly easy tot dry items. We hung other items that were partially dried and they dried overnight. There is a policy of not allowing guests to wash clothes the morning they checked out. It tootally made sense because the whole process from washing to drying probably took 3 to 4 hours. Aside from that the room is comfortable. The big bed is a murphy bed, so we lifted it up during the day, so we can sit and hang out. There are hanging space and kitchenette. We did not cok anything, but we did use the tea kettle and some kitchenware.Staff were pleasant and helpful.We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Coffee and water at the front desk is always available.

Very clean and spacious room. So relaxing having a bath. We booked the room where you sleep on the mats on the floor with the garden in the distance. Very kind and helpful staff. Only a short 7-10 minute walk to the busy area. I’d say it’s pretty quiet at night and we slept really good. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing location, close to temples, next to the metro that connects with Inari, Uji, Nara and Osaka. Few minutes walk to lots of restaurants and bars. The staff was amazing, and hotel very clean and cozy.

That we had to leave Kyoto!!!
