- Cutest location, super clean and homey. The owner was so enthusiastic, helped me a lot with my heavy suitcase!!!
- The only good thing is a location.
Cons -
- They did not supply sheets, towels beds were boards we left a day early. I got sick there. It is a gross hostel
- Place has a weird/unfriendly atmosphere. There's only one guy working and he's not really taking care or trying even a little to make place friendly. so in general everything was okay but you probably will not wanna spend one more hour there.
- The beds are rock solid and very uncomfortable the bathroom we’re disgusting and there was the smell of urine the entirety of my stay

There was a good ramen shop down the street that’s it
The beds are rock solid and very uncomfortable the bathroom we’re disgusting and there was the smell of urine the entirety of my stay
The staff was incredibly nice and even tho the rooms were shared, they were spacious
The common spaces could've been cleaner
It was clean and quiet. The staff is very kind.
It didn't have a trash basket in the toilet. And why on Earth do I have to make bed myself?
The staff is so friendly. Big bed.
There is no elevator
Place is well kept and has a excellent service. Localization is perfect for sightseeing.
+ Facilities are pretty complete: kitchen, utensils, microwave, fridge, hot shower+ 5-10 mins walk to nearest bus stop or subway+ English speaking staff+ Thick blanket during winter / early spring+ Nice atmosphere in common room- Narrow space & steep stair, be careful for giant luggage- Bring your own towel- Dirty in some spots (left underwear, toothbrush, etc)- Addiitional city tax ¥200/day (although it is written in your Booking confirmation)
Location it was near subway and yasaka shrine.
Bed makes squeaky sound every you move or sit on the bed, it was so annoying. I was not able to sleep well. Please note they don't provide towel and also when you checkin you have make your own bed and put covers in your pillow, bed and blanket. And you have to pay additional 200 yen per night as city tax.
Excellent location.
Futon mattress was thin. Could have used additional blankets.
Great location. I recommend the Beer Komachi brewery nearby. Lots of restaurants on the street.Lot of room to put your stuff on your bunk bed. There is a locker too.
- They do not give you towels.- They make you make your own bed.- There is no spot to sit in the room. Although, you could sit downstairs in the lobby.
Probably the best value for your money in Kyoto, close to the train and a few steps from the river.
No issues here.
I liked the atmosphere. Very friendly hostel guests and I enjoyed the kitchen area. There’s a grocery store nearby so the location was good in the regards of cooking.
The mattress wasn’t the best. I woke up in the middle of the night a few times because the mattress is so thin my hips were really uncomfortable against the wooden frame.
Very good location! Good facilities
It wasn't very clean. I stayed over 2 weeks and didn't see the washroom/ toilet cleaned. Not even the towels got changed.
The kitchen was well equipped. It is in a great area for sightseeing by foot, but also handy to trains. Staff were helpful.
The stairs are very narrow for carrying up luggage. Having to do laundry at a laundromat was a small inconvenience. I didn't feel like I wanted to stay for longer than I did.
Location
They don’t provide bath towels, the place is a little dirty (and you can’t wear your own shoes), no usb plug, narrow stairs (ppl need to be aware cuz of the luggage)
Near to 2 bus station and the subway, near to Gion. I can walk to different popular points ~ 2km.It looks small but is well equipped. Dorm room is spacious.Manager is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Sometimes there is not-good smell in the house (i think the air circulation is limited)It is the high season so the price is quite high compared to other places I've been in other cities. Still I think I made the right decision when booking here. No regret.
Colorful street, had a ceiling which was great because it was raining, close to many other things around, super cozy and friendly
The bed was a bit stiff for me
The workers are exceptionally nice. They went above and beyond. They gladly helped book taxi and other transportation.
