It?s quiet and the room was bigger than average rooms in Tokyo

Bed was comfortable but pillows were hard and low. Gave me a sore neck every morning.

The room size is pretty good compare to other hotels we stayed in Tokyo. Clean and nice atmosphere. Feels premium without having to break the bank. The public bath was really nice after a long day of walking.

I wish we didn¿t have to bring towels from our room down to the public bath.

The hotel location was amazing and right near the metro! The hotel rooms were very clean and the lobby was beautiful. Beds were very comfortable and I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

i love how easy it was to find the location is convenient close to a lot of things. i had an amazing experience the staff was friendly, the overall hotel is beautiful. i would love to come back and stay again. would recommend this hotel to my friends

Perfectly sized breakfast, plus the buffet to add if you wanted extra. Wished there was a matcha option, but the espresso was welcome. Loved the carbonated bath facility, very clean and well maintained. Rooms very clean and pleasant to look at, a tiny bit small if youve got lots of luggage but better sized than other places in Japan we stayed.

Laundry was only on one level, only three units and only ever saw an empty one once in four days. Had to walk to the closest laundromat to do a load.

The Mitsui Garden Hotel was truly excellent. The staff were absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to be kind and helpful. The location was perfect and in an area of Kyoto with a rich and wonderful history shared by the hotel itself. We arrived during the festival Gion Matsuri which made the hotels location perfect for that unique experience. Close to great restaurants and shopping. The Nishiki Market was a short walk away where you can find great food and lots of shopping options. I absolutely recommend the Mitsui Garden Hotel and I personally will be returning to the Mitsui the next time My family and I visit Kyoto.

Everything was great - staff were extremely friendly, the location was excellent and the food was delicious!

Everything was great - except the communal hot tub had a special carbohydrated water and it was sort of irritating on my skin... so I wish it was a normal water....

I loved the amenities of the place. The location was very centralized to the places we wanted to go (and was near a train station). The room was wonderful! It had only a few tables for 3 people to lay out our stuff, so we had to spread it out on our bed. The staff were all wonderful! They spoke English very well, and when questions like "where to get distilled water for the humidifier", the translator worked. Everyone was very friendly. The spare toothbrushes, shaver, shampoo, etc were a good surprise.

I didn't give it a 10 in "Facilities" because it lacked more Washing Machines. For the entire building, there was only 2 machines! I was tempted to go to a nearby laundromat to get my laundry done, but it was too far to carry my dirty / clean clothes back-and-forth.

The location is great as long as you are ok with walking for about 10 minutes to the train station. The hotel is beautiful and the cleanliness is top notch.

The breakfast staff didn’t take away our plates when we were done, so it was challenging to go and get multiple plates from the buffet in a small table for two. The receptionist who checked me in forgot to ask me to fill out a form, so I had to go back to the reception after checking in.

The room was very spacious, and the staff provided excellent service. I really enjoyed the onsen, which was not crowded at all. The shampoo and conditioner also smelled wonderful.

The only minor issue was that the sleepwear was a little stiff and not very comfortable to wear. Additionally, the hotel is located somewhat far from the train station.

Well designed hotel, a cut above other Mitsui Garden hotels….

No complaints — location requires use of taxi but not that inconvenient…. Room layout pushed all movement to narrow corridor down one side of room so difficult to avoid bumping into one another….

Very comfortable bed and a clean room. The Japanese public bath in the hotel was a great addition, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located in a nice area, but I had to walk a lot and occasionally use taxis to get around the city.

Everything was amazing, very cozy yet modern. It was very nice to walk out and see what seems to be traditional Kyoto streets and Architecture while keeping the stay very modern.

The staff at this location were exceptional and went above and beyond to book a taxi for us to make sure we didn't miss our airport limo. This location is excellent and close to transportation that will get you to nearby tourist sites.

The rooms can be a bit small if you're taller, but this is normal in Japan

Very big rooms. Comfortable. Nice public bath area. Good firm beds.

The public bath access time window of 15:00~21:00 is too short. Would be nice if we could soak early in the morning or later in the night. Most days we were out and about early in the morning and back past 9pm so didn’t really had a chance to properly enjoy it which a shame.
