Toyoko Inn Kyoto Shijo-Omiya

Everything - it was 4th time to stay these since 2018 - love the place! Staff is always so nice & very clean.

Convenient location that has access to public transportation that is close to all of the sight seeing. Quiet neighborhood, clean rooms, good breakfast.

Good location, 10 min on bus to Kyoto station. Staff was very friendly!

Everything is very clean and tidy. The kimono rental service was fantastic, they arranged everything for me and managed the return to the store as well. I would absolutely recommend it for anyone who wants to wear a kimono in kyoto

We got a room with fake windows, so it was dark at times but nothing unmanageable

The location is excellent — just a few steps from Omiya Station on the Hankyu Line. The breakfast is also noticeably better compared to Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba. I rated it 9 out of 10 mainly because of Toyoko Inn’s policy regarding room cleaning: from 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., guests must leave the room if they want it cleaned. If you stay in the room during that time, housekeeping will skip it, which I found inconvenient.

Like all Tokyo Inn's they do suffer from having incredibly hard beds. Would not recommend these inns to people who are used to soft mattresses.

I really loved this property.It’s really easy to access. Really great location as a short walk to the centre. Clean, good amenities offered. Breakfast in the mornings.Really helpful when I asked for an extra pillow etc.

Nothing really.The room I was in be aware the window was a mirror, so when I went to look out it, I had a fright! Haha

The room was clean with comfortable mattress that made you have a good sleep all night.The breakfast is good with completely nutrients.The location is close to subway but not close to JR.But around the hotel there are so many good restaurants.The staffs are so nice, they are so helpful and kindness. I forgot some stuffs at the hotel when I checked out and they helped to ship the parcel to hotel in Osaka. I will recommend others to stay here.

I accidentally booked a smoking room but the staff was very nice and helped me swap to a none smoking room. :)

The clean towel to clean body is put togather in a bag with the floor mat. This is unacceptable.

Really good. It is a proper hotel with 24hours reception desk. Good location, plenty of restaurants nearby. I would stay again if I visit Tokyo. I had a small child also.

Morning breakfast ended at 9:00 am , bit early I felt.

Good soundproofing, new towels every day, convenient location near the city center. The room is clean, well-maintained, with lots of mirrors.

The staff doesn't speak English well, although they try to help. The tap was a bit leaky, the luggage scales at the reception didn't work (I had to go to the neighboring hotel). Only a few adapters for European plugs for the whole hotel (I was lucky to get one)

Loved that they had a parking set for the guests it was with pay of course. Love that they had smoking rooms especially when you come for business. And the staff were super friendly in the morning.

There was only one thing they didn't really like. They had cakes and sweet bread and then they put a sweet sauce on the omelette in the morning. But they had no regular bread. If you already have three kinds of bread, why don't you make one of them. Not sweet? Other than that, the place was awesome

There is an affordable coin-operated laundry option, which was great as we could take care of it at the hotel.

There was no smoking area available anywhere.

Staff was helpful and kind. Location is with good transportation options. Breakfast is good to have.

We have booked a "business twin room". It turned out to be strange: the two beds were separated by the bathroom. The room had practically no windows. Two electric kettles, two hairdryers... strange and not too useful. There is no coffee offered in the room, just tee.

Location at central Tokyo close to train station. We changed our room with two single bed separated by middle toilet to the usual twin bed with toilet at the side.Jannai the reception staff was very kind and helpful and facilitated the room change past midnight.

Super friendly and helpful reception. Bed was Western style, but not too soft. I found the location at Shijo-Omiya station very convenient (for the sightseeing I wanted to do) without being super busy.

The breakfast was good and the location was also good.

Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing refurbishments and so all the windows were taped up making the stay feel claustrophobic. The toilet in the room didn't flush and I notified reception and they said it'll be looked into. I came back for my second night and although the toilet was clean, it still didn't flush. They finally sent a plumber to fix the problem on the last night of my stay. To their credit, they did move me to another room (although that also had a dodgy toilet...)

Last minute availability for a 1 night stay in Kyoto. The room was well equipped with tv, nightstand, kettle, and dressing table.

The business style of hotel rooms means twin beds are separated by bathroom. Thin walls meant we listened to people talking all night and very hard beds almost like a thin futon :(
