    • Quietness
    • Great location for relaxation, far from the centre of city, but near metro and buses stations, nearby the beautiful lake and parks, surrounding many historical places and temples, with great views of mountains, wonderful lounge with delicious breakfast and unforgettable view ; nice restorans and bar, tea house for tea ceremonies, the room large and very comfortable with comfortable beds ,pillows, very clean ; also hotel have servis to bring your luggage to the Kyoto station without fee; highly recommended this hotel !!!

    Cons -

    • There are few businesses around the hotel (restaurants, bars, etc...). This means that going out for a bite to eat means eating at the hotel (expensive), taking a taxi, or taking the subway.
    • AC heater did not work. No restaurants open after 8 pm. No convenience stores within the hotel.
    • Everything was great !

Almost everything. Hotel was nicely designed, clean and elegant, room was perfectly designed. The view was fantastic. Lots of trees in every autumn color you cant even imagine. Staff was nice, helpful and positive. There is a calm and very beautiful lake very close to the hotel. A hidden gem

A/C did not work woke up at big-time due to room feeling super hot. Miscommunication with laundry service type presented only one option but there is an express option checked incorrect box based on what was stated.

The rooms are big. The breakfast was good. The staff was nice.

    No onsen...

Absolutely beautiful. A stunning ring-style hotel steps away from the conference centre and Higashiyama Park. Easy for transit, offered delicious room service, bike rental and everyone was super friendly. Huge rooms and great amenities.

There is a beautiful patio in the middle of the ring, but I’m not sure how it’s used! Also the wifi wasn’t… great.

I liked the hotel but it felt like a conference hotel more than a place to stay on holiday. The system was very inflexible, you have to book room service by a certain time. You can't have coffee in the lobby lounge. You have to book in room dining the day before etc etcBut it was a pretty surrounding and the room size was great

The breakfast service and the Club facilities were just excellent and highly recommended. The hotel location is surreal and very ideal if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle. One important note was the hotel reception staff was extremely polite and accomodating and greatly helped us make this a confortable stay. I'd choose to stay at this hotel if I ever visit Kyoto again.

    Not applicable.

Stay is good. Reception staff is helpful.. But get to restaurant well before closing time, otherwise you get no food.

    9HowellPosted on: 12-28-2024

Beautiful view from the room. The view was like looking out from a boat. Well laid out design of room. A newspaper delivered each morning. There are a lot of mirrors. It was like a circus mirror room. The courtyard during Christmas is beautiful.

Bathroom requires a deep clean. WIFi was a bit weak.

I had a great stay of 7 nights in this hotel which is remote from the hustle of the city itself. It is perfectly located for visits to temples or shrines north of Kyoto. Also, the park and lake are worth a visit and were breathtaking in the autumn leaves colours. My room was very spacious with a great view, it was quiet and I enjoyed coming back home to the place after my day activities. Kokusai Taikan Subway station is less than 5 mins away and takes only about 20 mins to Kyoto main station. I loved the Japanese bento style breakfast. Staff were friendly, especially in the restaurants. I will definitely go back to this hotel when visiting Kyoto again in the future.

I did not like the atmosphere in the buffet style breakfast banquet hall on the lower floor. The hall is enormous, tables are too big, there is no natural light and I had more of a feeling of being in a community hall than in a luxury hotel. Having said that, two of the ground floor restaurants serve set breakfasts "with a view" and you have the choice, so it was ok in the end.

The property was clean and comfortable. It was very calm here and convenient to travel in and out of downtown Kyoto from.

No issues, staff were lovely and the food was amazing.

    Clean, quite, overall very nice

No additional services - no restaurant or bars

This hotel is a gem with its beautiful, unique design and prime location. Just 25 minutes to Kyoto Station via an easily accessible subway, it’s also right next to a large convention hall where popular events are often held. The hotel offers three dining options, with everything well-organized to meet your needs. However, if you're looking for a traditional Japanese onsen experience, this might not be the place, as it doesn’t have one. Great for a comfortable, stylish stay with modern amenities!

The hotel is built on a large property, so it was disappointing to have to pay extra for parking. It would have been a nice touch if parking was complimentary for guests.

    9MauroPosted on: 11-2-2024

Quiet location. Excellent accommodation. Close to railway station

    In house restaurant food pricey.

    7DmitryPosted on: 10-21-2024

Quite big rooms for Kyoto and convenient access to public transport. Metro line is just about 5-7 min walk.

Restaurants on site are extremely expensive and offer only set menu (Japanese) or do not allow kids for dinner (European)Room service food was tasteless and expensive too. No restaurants around to use as alternative.

    9SultanPosted on: 10-13-2024

location only due to event close by coffee and water in room

coffee corner or shop in the hotel.

This unique, modern hotel is located slightly north of central Kyoto. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully designed with a wooden furniture. The hotel is conveniently situated near the Kyoto Conference Center and is surrounded by a large, beautiful park. The staff was very polite and attentive, always ready to answer any questions. Overall, I really enjoyed this hotel.
