Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae PREMIER

I enjoyed having access to an underpass that goes to subways and to Kyoto Station. This was directly outside of the hotel. It was also neat being within walking distance to a few historic places, such as Higashi Hongan-ji Temple and the Shoseien Garden

The photo is misleading; there is a second Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto near Kyoto Station. I understand that they added "-ekimae" at the end of this one to try and differentiate the two so that helped, but it did cause minor confusion when looking for it.

Massage classy, trendy and comfortable hotel, the staff offered superior service. The location was central to everything that I wanted to connect to.

Breakfast wasn’t impressive

Location: super convenient for touring around Kyoto. Maintaining: We chose the Eco option on room cleaning with our 3 nights stay. The cleaning staffs exchanged new towels and toiletry supplies on time and efficiently every morning. Room: We booked a 24 square meters room, nicely decorated and cleaned. Fitted our luggage's well. Quiet room. Nice bathroom size with bathtub, however the water on the shower floor seemed never dry overnight which was weird. No bad smell or feeling humid though.

Breakfast was the only downside of our three nights stay at this hotel. Food quality could be better. The staff served the breakfast were very friendly though. The language skills of the staff at front desk can be improved. However we managed to communicate well. They were nice and helpful.

The overall location, friendly staff, cleanliness was great at Dawia.

The beds were very very uncomfortable. We even had to ask the staff for extra blankets just so we could sleep on the blankets. It felt like we were sleeping on boards.

I liked the breakfast. Good selection. The pajamas as well were comfortable to wear.

Location was near public transport. But please note that searching for the hotel can be quite confusing the first time you exit Kyoto station, because there is another Daiwa Roynet hotel near Kyoto Station. This hotel is in a different area . Make sure you pass through the underground passageway near McDonalds.

Amenities are better than other hotels that the guest can choose by themselves. This time in Kyoto, our family was upgraded to the better room type because we have a small kid.

While the hotel has a policy of default cleaning of rooms every 3 days, they must empty the trash daily. The current policy necessitates requesting a full cleaning just to get the trash emptied.

Location was awesome, so close to public transportation. Room size was decent and the room was clean and cosy. Finally the staff was so helpful, and the laundry room was clean and easy to use. We loved our stay!

Excellent location. Beautiful, clean facility. Everything smelled clean and fresh, it was so nice to return to after a long day at the office.

I would have liked lactose-free yogurt at the breakfast bar.

It was very close to the train station and a short walk to the downtown area. There were restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
