The hotel's location was great--it's located directly on a bus stop, very close to coffee shops and a 7-11 (for ATM), and easily walkable (or bus ride) to shopping and dining in the Gion district. The room was a good size, clean, and very comfortable.

Clean, good location, easy to access the different areas of Kyoto. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall we had a nice time staying here.

They need more elevators as it can take some time to get one. Also for what it is, it’s a little pricey.

Relatively small but cozy room. About a 20 minute walk to Pontocho alley which is fine as i enjoyed walking it every night. Only about 5 minutes away from a metro station for those who prefer getting around fast. Buses are available just outside the hotel too. I liked the view in the morning as well as i got a room on the upper level. Great stay overall. Breakfast there is also simple but good (try the matcha sweets if you can, they're great).

If you rent a normal room and have multiple bags or really big luggage you might not find enough space, but if you're a solo traveler with medium size bags you'll be just fine.

we have some issue with our room, but the staff was kind and they offered several options for us and move to another room. which I think was great from them.

We have an issue with a strange smell coming from the bathroom in our first room, but the staff was kind to offer options when we told them the issue.

It was really good, affordable for whom want privacy and quietness. Opposite is a bus stop and near by around 5 mins walk is the subway, walkable to The famous shopping destinations and the Japanese authentic street food Teramachi and Shingyokogu .

They allowed us to check in earlier for no extra cost. The location was quite good for our needs. Amenities were provided

The A/C in one of the rooms did not work initially, but after they fixed it, you could no longer turn it off. The A/C in all rooms was placed above the head, so some of my friends got a cold. No smoking area

Great location and spacious room.

Dryers don't work the best and there are a limited amount for the amount of guest. WiFi was bad too.

Breakfast was not worth the money. Selection was very limited and no on the spot cook. The timings states on the breakfast 1000. However when you are having breakfast the staff at 0915 state the breakfast will be packed up by 0930.. Again. Breakfast is till 1000am. On the card it also states 0930 is cut off. ??? Not good enough. 0700-1000 is breakfast not 0700 -0930.
