KABIN Koji

Location isn't the best, especially in sub-optimal weather (such as rain). It is a short walk to the closest stations and main strip. If weather and time were not a factor it wouldn't be as bad. Good place just as a place to base yourself (sleep). Not much else to like.

Nothing but nothing too much to rave about either.

Loved our stay here! Super convenient location in a quiet neighborhood but with good restaurant options and really close to busier areas. Little dining room with microwave on the first floor and staff was helpful

Excellent quality, location and value for the price. Smaller side street perfectly located with small shops and choices of dining. Close to several travel hubs. Easy walk to hotel from subway. Small room with all the necessities and very quiet. Nice small lounge with filtered water available. Bathroom included bathtub. Bed very comfortable; good lighting options. Exceptionally clean. Staff helpful. What more could you need?

Each of the Kabin crew members that I was assisted by were amazingly helpful!!! This hotel and Kabin Kyoto ( shout out to Nicolas, thank you !!! ) had such lovely crew members !…very helpful, easy to work with and totally willing to help make the stay welcoming and comfortable. Really appreciated that !!…area is also great.

For me personally, there’s way too much scented / perfumed elements inside the hotel. It was allergy overload for me, on top of there also being a musty smell coming from the air vents that made the air quality double difficult for me. Unfortunately, this drastically cut my stay short. But the crew members were totally amazing!!! Truly, thank you all who assisted me.

The location was good, some nice restaurants and bars in the area which we really enjoyed. The room was clean and bright. Bed and pillows very comfortable.

Everything was fantastic. The room layout was 1 of 2 in the king size bed photos, ours had the small couch. This was by far the superior layout in our opinion. The couch was great for helping organize things.

Close to everything and clean. We loved that it was walking distance to lots of restaurants and prime locations.

A little pricey and room a little small.

Hotel was a 5-minute walk to the main Kyoto street and 15-minute walk to Gion. Room was very spacious for Japan standard, with a good sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Room was quite and clean.

Please note, this is a branch of the main Hotel Kabin Kyoto which is a 2-minute walk down the street. This Hotel reception was only staffed from 1pm, so staff were less engaging. Also the coffee in the lobby was not free, but required coin payment. The Hotel uses an electronic check-in system in an App downloadable, which was a bit annoying.

Great location

No coffee in the room, had to pay for it at a coffee machine in the lobby. Overheard the manager speaking to staff. He was very rude and condescending towards them. Wasn't nice to hear walking through the lobby.

Great location, lovely staff, great accommodation at a great price. Will definitely be staying here again. We know sizes is a big thing in Japan bit ww felt this room was comfortable, had enough plugs near the bed and enough space for all our belongings. Our favourite part is how Koji is a part of a bigger group of Kabin hotels, it feels like you have access to all. There are a ton of delicious restaurants and bars in the area, and a couple of Michelin starred places around!We loved.

Be prepared to wait a lot if you need to use the laundry machine.

We stayed at Kabin Kyoto. A partner hotel very close. Its a great choice

Not compatible with CELIAC / Special dietary needs. The staff was strict on the policy about not being able to eat food that is not sevred by the hotel. Kind of sad the way they would even listen to my specific needs.

Location is amazing, clean cute hotel.

Rooms are small, but its Japan. Can't do anything about it

Upgraded to a bigger room thanks to Booking Genius level. The room was very clean and hotel was in a safe neighborhood. Staff was very friendly upon check in - we could deposit our bags in its sister hotel close by as we arrived to Kyoto in the morning. Nice not to have to carry a hotel card around with the digital lock system

The property is close to Kawaramachi and Nishiki Market, where super convenient for shopping and food hunting. Not far from the subway or the train station towards Osaka.The room is big enough to open 2 luggages at the same time, and the shower room is spacious and water pressure and temperature were in good condition, very stable!The staff are mostly non-locals with English proficiency, kind and hospitality. Great responsive rate whenever throwing a question via Booking. Though Koji is not 24HR staffed, there’re many other KABIN hotels nearby in walking distance that you can definitely leave your luggage earlier or later than the stays. Amazing free luggage storage space available!

Location was really good in the heart of city downtown. The staff sometimes are not at front desk but easily we were able to reach them or call at the other closeby branches of kabin hotel. Great baggage storage after checkout. Place has an easy to use laundry dryer machine very useful. All the amenities are provided.

We had a change in our trip duration and we requested to modify our initial reservation a few days before our card gets charged to avoid paying extra for the night we were not going to be there. While our reservation was modifiable on booking.com the new rates would have been applied if we did it on our end. the hotel staff were not also able to make this modification unfortunately which was disappointing and we end up paying for that extra night. Booking help center did not respond to my requests and email for a week and even after that they did not get it fixed

Location, clean facility, staff, room layout, laundry facility, and high CP value

The dryer does not work properly. It blows cold air instead of hot air. I had to bring my clothes to the laundromat across the street.

Absolutely everything!! The place was well located. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The accommodations were very nice and well worth the price.

The only slight flaw was that Kabin Koji did not have on site laundry as was available at there sister hotels. Again only a slight issue.

The hotel is a dependancy from another location Kabin Kyoto. If it is very close, the facilities are not in the building. Rooms are small.
