    Pros +

    • Modern and nice lighting and feel. Big room and bed.
    • Comfortable room and bed with good amount of space. Handy location.
    • Location was great and staff was very friendly/helpful. The rooms themselves were extremely roomy for Japan. The hotel seemed quite nice when you walked in.

    Cons -

    • Not much just location felt far from the action
    • Beds were quite hard and the pillows were terrible. While it was convenient that there was a washer/dryer unit on each floor, it didn’t work very well. Since it was a washer/dryer in one unit (not separate washer and dryer), our clothes came out very wet and while we tried to run the dryer function a second time, it barely helped. Our clothes also didn’t smell clean either. We ended up taking our clothes to a local laundromat nearby. The carpet in our room was also slightly sticky on one side of the bed. The hotel also uses a fragrance in the lobby that’s overwhelming to the point where it felt like you were eating it.
    • I wish they can provide microwave in self service area. So you don’t need to ask staff for help all the time

Staffs are super friendly and can speak English.

Rooms were clean and very simple. Shower was terrific. Location not worth it.

Checked in Mon, checked out Wed. Bar was not open Monday or Tuesday nights due to staff shortage! Wanted breakfast on Wed morning but they don’t serve breakfast on Wed mornings. Nothing to eat. Starving. Had to get food from local 7/11-like place. Not close to anything. Rooms were clean and very simple. Shower was terrific. Location not worth it.

Had everything we needed, and little we didn’t! Centrally located, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Picked up breakfasts and dinners from the Fresco 4 minutes away, or the Daimaru ten minutes away on foot. Liked that the room was only cleaned/bedding changed once in our seven night stay, but with notification garbage disposed of daily and towels available at the amenities station on each floor. Clean, yet not wasteful! Appreciated the sleepwear and house slippers - a great help when traveling lightly as we do. Desk staff was helpful and friendly. Liked the key code system - efficient and effective. Had a corner room with an active view through a big window and the room was huge by Japanese and European standards. Felt spacious and gracious, especially for a week‘s stay.

Was only able to check myself in on the app. It kept balking at uploading the image of my husband‘s passport. Wasted some time trying to convince it ? But it was readily addressed upon arrival, so all good.

    Modern, great stuff, spacious rooms

Location is OK, but not great

    10WhitePosted on: 1-1-2026

The room was slightly larger than a lot of the other hotels in Japan I’ve been staying at. So it felt economical and efficient but not skimpy, and elegant as well. Staff was lovely, helpful and international. Nice restaurant and bar on premises as well as a workable gym at nearby sister hotel. Deceivingly, conveniently located to town center without any of the noise. It felt positively luxurious in its own way. Great shower and toilet. (Things that make my stay feel comfortable lol)

If there is a small flaw, the sink is in the bedroom and access to the closet is tough because of the limited space.

Amazing stay here! The room was HUGE, the bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. This was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in during our 2 week Japan vacation. Staff was super friendly and helpful, location was perfect, overall a really wonderful stay. There is also laundry on every floor which was really nice.

Nothing, the stay really was perfect, if I’m really looking for something maybe the windows could have opened? But I think that’s pretty normal for a hotel.

Great staff, cozy and spacious room, central location but in a quiet area.

    10KohPosted on: 12-5-2025

Great location. Comfortable rooms and bed. They also had complimentary toiletries and laundry machines (with coin payment) on every floor. Staff was international and pleasant.

I wish the chair and tables inside the room was better fitted for remote work. Espresso drinks were mediocre.

In addition to an exceptional location, the bar has great craft coffee and great whiskies in the evenings. Wonderful vibe!

Wish there were some quick breakfast items like pastries ?. But 7/11 is just around the corner so not an issue.

    10mikePosted on: 11-17-2025

We really like the KABIN concept. We had everything we needed including laundry facility access. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We will return.

We should have booked a longer stay.

    9MaybethPosted on: 11-16-2025

Loved the quiet location but close to lots of great cafes, 7-11 and major sights. Helpful staff. Large rooms!

Restaurant was closed some days. Room cleaned only once in 5 nights. But plenty of fresh towels. Washing machine didn’t dry- fortunately a real laundromat on the block close by.

    10ParisPosted on: 11-14-2025

Modern with a Latin American vibe. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean.

Sink in bedroom. Hard to be discrete when using the bathroom late at night.

Loved this hotel. Spacious room. Great area downstairs to sit and have a drink or coffee. The bar wasnt always open which was annoying. Great bakery around the corner. Hotel is in a quieter area which we loved but close enough to walk to Gion and Nishiki Market and train stations. Highly recommend.

    The pillows!

    9RanaPosted on: 11-10-2025

    Location, modern interiors, outdoor space

My only real annoyance was breakfast “running out” everyday which was very frustrating. The restaurant should prioritize serving guests.

    9CoultonPosted on: 11-6-2025

Good location, modern hotel. Nice big bed.

Modern hotel but lacked a smart TV to watch Netflix etc.

    9AnnaPosted on: 11-2-2025

Amazing shower, great bed, spacious room. Great location, just down the road from Nishiki Market and other storefronts!

    5LaraPosted on: 10-24-2025

I appreciated the option of fresh towels and toiletries on each floor. Location is very good.

The restaurant option for breakfast and diner was below average..
