    Pros +

    • Nice modern design. It felt new and clean. The area was safe and quiet. The customer service was courteous and professional. I liked that they served hot dogs and drinks every night -- they made an effort to provide amenities.
    • The most important thing is that the room was very spacious and comfortable. I really appreciated the clean environment, the friendly atmosphere, and how everything was well-organized. It made my stay enjoyable and relaxing.
    • The place is very clean and spacious! The rooms are very big and perfect to stay over a few nights.

    Cons -

    • Our room did smell a little like dog, but that's not unexpected at a dog hotel. The freshening spray really helped.
    • The location is a bit far from the main area.
    • Compare to hotel Forza Osaka we stayed prior to Kyoto, hotel doggy is slight scare of small items like shower items.

This hotel is absolutely perfect! Traveling with a dog isn’t exactly the easiest thing worldwide, but they made everything feel normal and effortless. This hotel is the definition of thoughtfulness! From the heartwarming welcome board, to the cozy and smart room dog setup, everything perfectly in place, to a dog lounge that feels like heaven on earth - every single detail said “we care” about dogs.My pomeranian had a great time, met new friends, had play times, lived his best life, and refused to check out.As someone who’s stayed in hotels worldwide, but also across Japan, I can say this with my whole heart: Kyoto is the most pet-friendly city in Japan, and this hotel is the crown jewel of that experience.I wish every country had a hotel like this - one that treats dogs not as guests or pets, but as family. So here’s to the humans behind it all — thank you for every smile, every small kindness, and every thoughtful touch. You made us feel truly at home so I am over the moon. We will come again! ?

It's the little details that surprised me the most! Like the peaceful lobby, the all day long drinks and the afternoon snack and much more!

    - shower was amazing- super clean- spacious room- comfy bed and pillow

    - location is ok - not the worst but also not the best. You would need to walk.

    - size of room- location, near the Nijo Castle- comfortable bed- friendly staff- free evening hotdogs

    10SantiagoPosted on: 4-16-2025

Best hotel ever!! Beds and pillows were comfortable, no noise, shower was exceptional (one of the best in my life), the free 24 hour coffee was incredible and they even had free hot dogs every night for two hours!!!Location was good too, not to far not to close to main attractions. Close to Nishiki market and Gion by uber.I forgot to mention, the room was huge!!! Similar to a USA hotel room in terms of space.

    Nothing, everything was perfect!!!

    10VesselinaPosted on: 4-16-2025

The hotel is well designed, maintained and very quiet. Rooms have enough space to rest with comfort. The morning free coffee was of a very good quality and the staff was nice.

    All was perfect

Great location, we were traveling without dogs and were surprised how quiet and clean room was. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Not far from Shinkansen station 15 min taxi, walking distance from the street market and shogun palace

Hotel and doggy was amazing. We did not bring a dog this time, but I have never seen a place better prepared to host dogs and their owners. The staff was available 24/7 and helped store our luggage on check out date so we could continue to explore the city. They provided very comfortable pyjamas, which was unexpected but welcomed. All the facilities were top-notch, clean, and quite luxurious. We went during peak tourist season in Kyoto and therefore the price was on the higher side. However, after seeing the facilities first hand, I felt like it was definitely worth the price.

Staff were very nice and kind. Appreciated that they tried to communicate their best with us, even though we didn't know Japanese. The property is nicely designed and well-maintained. Everything was very clean. Room was very spacious. Appreciated the humidifier in the room as the weather was a bit dry when we went. The air conditioner can automatically go from heating to cooling. Appreciated the chill-out area with free coffee / drinks at the ground floor. The area is near Nijo Castle. There are a number of train stations within walking distance. There is also a street full of cafes, bakeries, and other food stalls nearby--one of which is a Creme Brulee Donut place.

Some of the amenities were available at the front desk only like the iron. Someone borrowed the iron when we were thinking to use it. But the staff was very nice and kind to explain it well to us, so in the end, it's okay even if we weren't able to use it.

Very modern and clean building! Staff is very friendly and the room had a lot of space! Loved the café córner so we could get hot drinks for free and in the night they would offer us yummy hot dogs for free as well.

    Nothing, everything was very good

everything is wonderful! the room, the reception, the space, the price, the decoration

    10ManonPosted on: 11-18-2024

Everything was great! Great value for money! Rooms are really spacious and super clean. Service is irreproachable and there are a lot of free services (coffee, juices, food etc.).We did not have a dog and were still super well welcomed. We actually extended our stay there because it was super comfortable.

    Nothing honestly

Very friendly people! I had my son's dog with me for two days/nights and it was great. Free coffee/water/Orange Juice and even hot dogs in the evening :-). I thought it is a little big expensive, but you really have not so much choice when travelling with a dog in Japan. Nice location as well, as just around the corner from the castle. Really recommendable.

Amazing place. It’s a hotel design to bring your pet , but we went wouldn’t one. It’s was one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. Loved it

The only thing, was not being able to open a window ( not even a bit ) besides that everything was great

    10RyanPosted on: 10-24-2024

Hotel was very clean, modern and tidy. Rooms were a great size as was the bathroom with a lovely rainfall shower. Everything was high quality and staff were attentive. Good location tooDidn't have a dog with us and were made to feel very welcome still. Couldn't hear any dogs through walls during stay and didn't see any mess anywhere.

Breakfast options were a bit limited and pillows weren't the best but didn't distract from the stay.

    10VladaPosted on: 10-7-2024

cozy modern rooms. there are all the amenities for owners and pets. free hot dogs in the evening, a bar with hot drinks is open throughout the day. clean everywhere, you can take a stroller to walk with your pet.

in the mornings there is breakfast, which is included in the price of the stay. but it turned out that it needs to be booked in advance, which is not written in the rules of residence with all the information about the hotel. so it was a shame when we went down to the dining area waiting for breakfast, which we were denied, without warning in advance that it needed to be booked.
