Cons -
- Nothing comes to mind.
- Nothing not to like
- The only thing I want to comment on is the room toooooo smalllll for two people and we both small size and still too small. No space for opening the luggage. That's why I cannot give you a rating of 10.

Ok location
Tiny, tiny bathroom, all food was pre packaged vending.
Staff were lovely, lobby was cute and the room was spacious.
Our room had a really bad smell when we arrived, almost a strong body odour smell? Not sure if it was due to previous guests.I wouldn’t get the breakfast voucher if I came again. The food available was not good at all and very expensive. Some very mushy rice balls, the sandwiches were almost always out, I got the tonkotsu sandwich which was so bad I threw it out. The food available at connivence stores was much better and more affordable.
Relax and comfortable. The rooms are nice and clean. Not a crowded area. Food, and amenities recommended to stay for a week.
Functional rooms. 10 minute walk from the train station. Close to a large shopping mall.
We paid for breakfast but just got credits for a self-service kiosk, which barely had any valid breakfast options (mainly sweets). Paid coffee was also poor.
Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms close to the train station (10-15 min walk) and the mall. Really liked the cafeteria with a lounge area in the lobby. One could buy there or bring their own food and heat it up. Complimentary tea a nice touch. Laundry room as well. Great base for exploring Kyoto
The first floor was so nice.
When we first walked in, the room had an odor to it. Like sweaty body odor. We were tired from traveling and decided to leave the window open and spray the room with ALOT of air freshener. We thought the smell had gone away. The room itself is extremely humid. The humidifier was asking for it to be changed. I just feel like it should have been taken care prior to us coming. The room is EXTREMELY small which I wish it was more transparent upfront. The rugs in the hotel had stains on them. The next day we decided to leave the windows open and spray the room down with air freshener but yet the smell was still there. The room was so humid. If you took a hot shower it immediately heated the room. You felt sweaty and claustrophobic. All night we had the AC on and yet we were sweating. We barely slept well.I wish the website and booking was extremely transparent especially for travelers who are visiting Japan for a few weeks and have a lot of luggage. We couldn’t open our luggage. The room size is honestly smaller than a cruise sized room.
Great stay, great room. Was enough space compared with Japanese usual standards.
Close to the main station but not so close to lively side of the city.
I really liked that the breakfast options were readily available and varied and were not restricted to specific times.
Lovely surroundings, modern hotel and spacious rooms which is a big plus when staying at hotels in Japan for longer than a couple of nights. Nice and close to the Eon Mall for shopping and a stocked food court with all international cuisine catered for.
The fridge in the room was tiny and never got cold. The hotel is on a very main road, so road noise is incredibly loud even with the window closed. The pillows are incredibly uncomfortable - they start off plush and then go super flat and thin after 5 minutes.Wrong end of town if you want to be out and about exploring Kyoto city itself - especially the downtown area. Expect to walk anywhere between 20 - 40 minutes to get to downtown or ride the subway for 2/3 stops.
Very friendly staff, beautiful facilities, very close to Toji Station 5min and very close to Kyoto Station 15 min. Also have a lot of options to eat and drink inside the hotel.
Lovely room with a bit of space to stretch your legs- small table and chairs included. Very comfortable beds, clean bathroom. Overall, fresh and modern. We really liked the space in the entrance of hotel with self serve food and beverages! Easy walking to Kyoto train station. Would stay here again.
I loved it was so close to Aeon mall and a shrine. It felt so welcoming and clean.
I probably went the long way around Kyoto station but I didn’t mind.
Room was a great size- Has everything you need!
Not a problem for us but just a heads up for anyone with mobility issues, there is quite a big step up to get into the bathroom. Otherwise great hotel!
My most memorable experience at OMO was when my friend and I arrived amidst a sudden torrential downpour that turned the streets into a river. When we stepped into the hotel, the staff were so helpful, welcoming and concerned with our welfare, it felt like coming home and getting fussed over by your parents. They brought us slippers, bags for our shoes, and endless towels. The room and lobby were spotless and extremely well-designed, and we loved the sand garden and little snack station area in the lobby!
The zen atmosphere
The breakfast is just a coupon for the shop and the selection is limited
The hotel staff were incredibly accomodating and my room itself was beautifully maintained. Couldn't have asked for a better accom. to spend my week in Kyoto, highly recommend to anyone travelling solo!
Nothing!
Loved the area, close to station, a huge mall and the temple and pagoda. Staff were attentive, kind and friendly. Rooms and hotel were exceptionally clean and were a good size for 2 adults. Loved the idea of shopping with your food vouchers to buy your breakfast food and snacks in their shop.It was very zen and laid back. Gorgeous.
Went down to breakfast on the 2 days we were there, in good time around 8am and pretty much all the Breakfast items had all gone maybe just a couple of fried chicken sandwiches left! We ended up having to go around the corner to lawsons for food and spending our hotel credit on sweets and drinks. I would have complained but didn't want to cause a fuss, and my Japanese is awful. :(
