    • Friendly staff. Japanese meals were excellent. Not too expensive, but very delicious! I would strongly recommend trying. Public bath was nice.
    • everything was good
    • I stayed here for one night, but honestly? It was really nice! I wanted to try staying in a traditional inn so i booked a room even if it was for one night. The staff are super friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. I would come back again with my family if i get the chance and stay longer!

    Cons -

    • The public bath could be cleaner
    • Everything was amazing.
    • There was a mild issue where some of our group would have preferred the room to be colder, but we were able to remedy by opening a window. Honestly, I want nothing to change about Ryokufuso and hope to see them all soon!

Very friendly to our 2 year old, and helped us find and retrieve a baby carrier we lost in Nagoya. Very welcoming to a young guest at Kaiseki dinner which enabled us to enjoy it.

Loved the whole experience. The staff were absolutely lovely. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities you'd need and was clean. It was on a quiet street so were had a very good rest. The onsen was an amazing. They had really great coffee in the lobby and a nice seating area to enjoy it. My only regret is that we didn't get to stay here longer.

    Everything was amazing.

Super clean. Very respectful staff. Onsen. Traditional rooms.

    10LucasPosted on: 12-13-2025

I really appreciated how friendly and accommodating the staff was. They were always willing to chat and help us with whatever we needed. Additionally, the onsen and food service were phenomenal. Ryokufuso is by far our favorite out of the places we stayed while in Japan and we're desperate to visit again!

There was a mild issue where some of our group would have preferred the room to be colder, but we were able to remedy by opening a window. Honestly, I want nothing to change about Ryokufuso and hope to see them all soon!

The room was spacious for 3 adults and designed nicely with Japanese style furniture and sitting area. The refrigerator, electric kettle and sweet treats were wonderful too.

There was a very bright light outside our window on the 3rd floor that would not let us sleep comfortably the first night, but others may have complained because it was shut off on the second night.

Onsen and room were fantastic.Staff were lovely adn friendly.

Location not the absolute best, but what can you do

    9ToriPosted on: 11-30-2025

Loved the traditional Japanese style rooms and experiencing the onsenLots of local small restaurants nearby Large spacious comfy room and beds

Windows and street noise in our room were a bit loud but fixable with ear plugs

The onsen was nice, the breakfast was delicious, the concierge was very helpful and friendly; there is nothing to NOT like about this place.

    Location was ok

It smelled like cabbage when we walked into our room, the bedding cover was really old, the mats were not comfortable.

    8lornaPosted on: 10-17-2025

Authentic Japanese. Liked bath and tatami mats, futons.

    Better towels.

    10RuiPosted on: 10-8-2025

It’s a traditional Japanese style hotel. We have tried Japanese breakfast at the hotel, and it’s nice. The staff is very welcoming. The location is also good. It’s like 15mins walk from the main train station.

    10NaomiPosted on: 9-29-2025

This place was beautiful! It far exceeded my expectations in every way! The lady gave us a tour of the room and showed us how to properly wear the kimonos. The onsen was very nice - I was hesitant to use it, it was a bit out of my comfort zone but I ended up loving it!

    Nothing it was amazing!

Traditional ryokan in the shadow of Mt Fujii and the accomodations were authentic. The baths were great but the meal and service provided by hotel staff were exceptional. Be sure to include "full board" when you stay here

    8LucienPosted on: 9-2-2025

(Personal Bias ) I liked that i got my own Yukata during my stay which you could wear. The room was very clean and gave you a nice feeling of being in a traditional environment (to some extent ). You also had access to the Ryokan's personal onsen on the Top floor ( be warned it only has one bath with high temperature).

The only point that comes which i didn't like was that you had to give back your room key every time you wanted to go out. This took away a bit from the convenience and comfort.

    10GoldbloomPosted on: 8-6-2025

    Clean and great location

There was an odd smell coming out of the air conditioning

    10EmilPosted on: 7-21-2025

Traditional Japanese experience. Restaurant was very good. Nice small hotel.

It takes a bit of getting used to as everything is low or on the tatami mats.

    10PorchiaPosted on: 7-21-2025

Nestled in a great location. Close to the three oldest temples, as well as plenty of restaurants and shops.
