ORI Rokkaku

the physical layout design and function was well thought out and very comfortable. staff was very accommodating!

the location is a bit far from the train-subway stations-especially during this cold winter period.

We had a wonderful stay at ORI Rokkaku as a family of four. One of the biggest highlights was how spacious the room was it was very comfortable for all of us, with plenty of space to move around and organise our luggage.The toilet and bathroom were exceptionally large, which made a huge difference for a family. Everything felt clean, modern, and well thought out, making our stay very relaxing after long days of sightseeing in Kyoto.The location is also very convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions, yet still quiet enough for a good night’s rest.

One small area for improvement would be the washing machine facilities. Enhancing or increasing the laundry facilities would make long stays even more convenient for families.

Great property and very cleaned rooms. The bathroom was so much larger than most hotels in Kyoto. The location was great and staff were kind.

I loved that the room we got fit 4 people. We got the 2 bunkbeds. Came with a kitchen area and sitting area. This gave me a camper trailer vibes. We loved our stay and would recommend this place to our family and friends. Front desk personel is super nice, helpful, and always had answers to our questions.

My group and I loved our room and would book again! We booked the four bunk beds! It was very spacious. The staff were great and very helpful! The location was also perfect! Very close to stores and great food spots!

I really like the proximity of major restaurants and konbinis. It’s in a quiet neighborhood feel close to the police station. The ambiance is Old but new. The location, although a bit far from train stations is close to bus stations, so that offset it. If anything we use the Uber instead so no biggie. As soon as we walked inside it smells so good! The front desk staff that rotates everyday are so helpful & courteous. It’s good that they are English Speaking as well. At one time it was heavily raining, they have spare umbrellas for the guest to use & the lady staff who’s a Filipina offered us a towel to dry, those little things are some what sets this hotel above & beyond.

The foam mattress. I wish they are the regular mattress & not just a topper. And the Dryer. It took so long for the clothes to dry. It could be useful if they have an English memo or directions on how to use the Stove & microwave. That’s the only things I could think off. Overall our stay is excellent!

Fantastic stay - comfortable and convenient room with all amenities and nice design, good location

I stayed here 5 nights. The room was abnormally large for a hotel room in Japan. The room was comfortable and had everything needed and more for a great stay!

The property in my opinion was a tad out of the way from the Nishiki Market / Gion district as it was about a 35 minute walk one way. Transit was close-ish by but quickly adds up if you are using it day and night / to and from the “core” of Kyoto. I had wished on several occasions that we were a little closer. However, on the flip side being a little further away was also nice as the neighbourhood is very quiet. I think it comes down to the stay you are looking for.

Everything was good! The staff were friendly and all spoke fluent English. The room was spacious and equipped with everything you might need.

Front desk reps were really nice and helpful. Super clean, quiet. Squeaky clean - spotless and very comfy, solid bunk beds. We ended up staying in two different rooms during our stay and both rooms were spectacular. Meticulously cleaned. Very spacious. Fun to walk around, close to subway. Laundry on 3rd floor (need to pay with coins) it washes and dries! We kept our bags there for free while we toured the city after we checked out. Very impressed!

The hotel was close to Haneda airport with a shuttle and breakfast. The rooms were clean, and coin opperated laundry was in the ally next door.

It's not a luxery inn, but has everything needed for a short stay before flying out. Not much near by except gambling and shopping. It's a half hour or more train ride to Tokyo attractions.

We like the amenities and cleanliness of the unit and around facilities, and the staff was friendly.

The bed was not comfortable as the mattress was too thin.

Comfortable beds, quite area, amazing shower. Facility provides everything you need. There is luggage storage room so you can leave on arrival day and departure day.

We sent an email regarding the luggage storage for arrival day. No clear information provided. We used the laundry but unfortunately the detergent was finished in the machine hence our clothes remained dirty. If you're thinking to make one person sleep in the sofa forget about it. It's too small and so hard.

Great price, spacious rooms and greta location in Kyoto!

Spacious room comfortable enough for two of us to be in there without crowding each other; having a kitchenette was a bonus; walking distance to nearby attractions or transport. The pin access is smart and allowed us to enter separately if needed.
