Kyoto Tokyu Hotel

Very clean - nice staff. good breafast. proably would advise not eating there besides the breakfast - many better places to eat in Kyoto. location is close to bus lines. if you dont mind walking, then not too bad from the Kyoto.

dinner was just okay at best, not sure what i was thinking when i ordered Minestrone soup, it was kind of a joke their soup. maybe i am wrong - but i believe the top floors have nicer rooms-

Food was marginal. The location was not next to Kyoto station, it was 10 blocks away.

The hotel was really beautiful with inside pools (not for swimming; just for beauty) and art. The staff was wonderful; they were always available and their language abilities were excellent. The room was quiet and comfortable. The shower was amazing!

I thought the location was going to be actually in the Kyoto Train Station but that's not what the location meant. "Kyoto Station" is an area. But they have a shuttle to the station so that would have worked if I had stayed longer.

Great customer service and atmosphere of hotel was excellent

The location from the Kyoto Train station was far but a shuttle bus front the Station to the Hotel runs every 15 minutes. Sometimes the 8:00 am shuttle was full but it's only 15 minutes until the next one would arrive.

Staff were very friendly, beautiful hotel and the room were spacious compared with other hotels in Japan. The highlight was how friendly the staff were. Now I’m just typing to reach the minimum limit

Absolutely loved the shuttle availability, it was so helpful for us. Everyone was kind and accommodating of us from bag drop to check out. We hope to stay again in the future!

The lobby and welcome area is great.

The room was rubbish. Old furniture, dustbin was unclean, shower and washbasin clogged up.

Property has a gym and a free shuttle from Tokyo station. Lots of restaurants around. The reception area is definitely a first class entrance. It is a fairly large room.

On arrival, I found hairs in the bathroom (long hair), I have a short hair. Although the staff was quick on resolving the issue. The toilet flush was broken as well. There is no work space to enjoy their beautiful garden area. Mostly stayed in the room since I had no area to work with outside of the room.

Exceptionally helpful and polite staff, shuttle service, great breakfast menue, cleanliness, quick check-in and check-out, help with luggage.

Breakfast: only espresso machine (would be great to have latte or cappuchino), only premade eggs - no omlette station.Dangerous step to/from bathroom- better to have one level for room, especially for elder people.

No convenient elevator for luggage

The hotel is nice, convenient and clean.Laundry service, although expensive, was very good.Park g is available for 2000 yen a night.Location is ok-not central but no more than 10 mins drive from Gion.

Breakfast is very disappointing … the selection is poor, the quality is mediocre and the breakfast restaurant is very busy , waiting in line for 10 plus minutes, crowded and thus food is frequently missing due to the high consumption. No omelets and during a few days of my stay, the coffee machine didn’t work.Simply don’t book with breakfast.

Business at the Hongwanji Temple, so very convenient. Shuttle bus service was great.

We loved the staff at the hotel. They were so helpful and accommodating. They helped us forward our bags ahead to Kyoto. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also found the lobby to be very nice. It was a nice place to sit and wait for our group to get ready.
