Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto-Kiyomizu Gojo

Amazing staff, fantastic breakfast (Japanese and sweets). PJs to borrow, huge selection of amenities available for free in lobby. Laundry available on property for ¥300 plus ¥100/30 on dryer. Luggage storage. Short walk to Nishiki and Gion area, local bus and stations nearby. Absolutely would stay again, we actually extended our stay because we loved it so much and the breakfast was so good. Beds are comfortable as well! Hot shower with good water pressure.

Room is small but efficient. The dryer took three cycles and still wasn't completely dry, plan to hang overnight in room.

The hotel is in a quiet area, but near the bus stops and train station, you can use the Kyoto subway or the Keihan Line easily. It's also not too far from the main attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera, Gion area...

This was a 10 out of 10 stay! Value, staff, facilities, clean and great location. Loved it all. Our best deal/value in all of Japan over 3 weeks of hotels.

Room size, pajamas, food.

One laundry machine was out of service. I don't think 3 laundry machines are enough for the entire hotel.

The place is nice. Good value for money. It has what you need from a hotel in general. The location is relatively close to the train station, which is good. It is also relatively close to the center. The area in general is nice with restaurants and shops.

The room was smaller that I expected, but still bigger that other I have been in Japan. The breakfast was nice, but would have been nice to have more fresh vegetables and fruits.

The location was pretty good - we walked from the train station when we arrived, which was not so fun, but it was an easy bus ride to go back. Gion was a bit of a walk, but not bad. It was a fairly short walk to the bus for Arashiyama and the main shopping street. The breakfast was quite good, varied from day to day. And I love the amenities corner in the lobby, they had everything you could need.

The bed was the hardest one we had. I woke up so sore every day.

Very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with anything we asked of them. Would stay here again. And location was convenient

Rooms are more spacious than the standard size, there’s room for luggage storage under bed. Good amenities! Standout was the excellent staff that are always very helpful and speedy with response. Helped us with our luggage delivery, and it was no hassle. :)

The location was very convenient with easy access to metro and busses, the breakfast was wonderful and the room very comfortable and quite spacious for how small the Japanese hotel rooms sometimes can be.

Overall location and facility was good. Two supermarkets and many convenient stores near by. 5 mins to train station is a plus.

The room was well appointed and clean. Available items like toothbrush and facewash was great! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's not far from transit options and is a great central location.

Our room was a comfort double and it was very comfortable. It was a good size for Japan. The breakfast was also a good value. They had a lot of different selections every morning. The location was also very good.. Friendly staff too.

It is clean and staff are very helpful. Location is great - near the bus and metro station. Accessible for taxi. 7/11 is also just 1 block away.

Amazing experience and good value for money.They upgraded my room when I arrived - big bed and spacious room.Location is great.Overall a super comfortable stay - would recommend. :)

There are 3 laundry machines and it gets full especially around the evening, so make sure to plan your laundry and sometimes you have to go a bit earlier to wait.

The staff were very warm, welcoming, helpful. The rooms were clean and I loved the deep soaking tub. The refrigerator in room and tea kettle were great too! I stayed for 6 nights and the room cleaning on day 3 was so so nice!

The bed felt uncomfortable to me, and their fix was a 1 inch "pad" to put on the bed. They didn't have any options for me to try another room or bed, stating they were all the same. Being gluten free, made the breakfast buffet difficult to even tell what might have gluten or nit, as their offerings changed daily and seemed to be many traditional Japanese foods (I realized that Is a bonus for some). That is all I didn't enjoy.

Well supplied. The complimentary sunscreen and skin products were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Staff was very polite and helpful
