    • Modern & clean. Breakfast plate with scrambled egg, one hot dog, and one cold broccoli was interesting. But the buffet had good selection of Japanese side dishes and curry.
    • Lovely staff and clean! Very nice place
    • Fabulous and stylish hotel. Great facilities, large rooms, clean and fresh.

    Cons -

    • No closet but had a railing to hang some clothes. A worker in plain clothes and no name tag or anything came up to me at breakfast to ask for breakfast ticket which was alarming since I couldn’t recognize that they worked there.
    • Food was spendy - buffet only breakfast. We just wanted small plate
    • No complaints

    Nothing outstanding

The customer service and the Matcha dispenser. Rooms had some women hair in the floor but the staff came quickly and clean it.

Incredibly close to Kyoto Goen and Jijo-Jo.

If you're wanting to go to Kiyomizudera, Gion, etc. You are looking at a solid 40 minutes of transit each way. A deal breaker by no means, but something worth considering.

    Good location

No storage in the room, The lighting wasn’t great for reading. Breakfast was pretty ordinary with a layout which caused a bottleneck.

    9OronPosted on: 10-16-2025

The room was decent and spacedThe bed was sooo comfortable! And there is cute gym at hotel (mostly dumbbells )

    9ITPosted on: 10-16-2025

We stayed in a deluxe twin room and it was great. Lots of space, comfortable sleeping platform and beds. Very nice bathroom. The staff was very helpful. The location is very good. You are two minutes walk from the metro and near several major must-sees in Kyoto.

The only negative I would bring up is breakfast. It was ok, but fortunately we did not buy it up-front. There are better and cheaper breakfast options a few blocks away.

Was very nice hotel, large rooms for a twin bed space and it was easy to forward baggage back and forth between my different stays. Staff was very helpful

TV didn't have local Japanese channels to watch, had to use my own streaming credentials to connect to the apps.

    9DeliPosted on: 10-14-2025

I had to book two separate rooms but the hotel made the check in and out process very smooth so I'm glad for that. This room was big as well and I felt like the space was more than enough a single traveler.

Same as other room, TVs required your own streaming logins to use. Would have just loved to watch just cable/local Japanese tv.

Bed was comfortable. Daily cleaning of bedroom (had to pay extra for this). There is coin laundry service available for a 500 yen fee on the second floor. Relatively close to the market and other sights. Near the subway. Staff was very nice and some spoke English.

The only rooms they have that have a view of the street (and not off a darkened alleyway) are rooms with two double beds. The staff graciously moved us to a room with a window but there is currently construction going on outside of the front doorway on weekdays starting at 9am and the front desk does not offer ear plugs. There is difficulty controlling your own temperature in your room and had to call front desk several times to adjust temperature. Rooms are a little bit more spacious than a business hotel but paid 500$ usd for three nights and do not think this was a four star hotel or worth that price given the lack of a street view.

Location - 2min walk from subway stationBreakfast - I liked the curry dish.

Breakfast format - I do not understand why they pre- prepare egg dish on an individual plate. They should either provide scramble egg as buffet style or custom egg dish depends on customer (scramble, sunny side, etc.) too much boiled egg, no body consume. Quality of bread is bad. The tray is too slippery and too small. Customer service is not very friendly in the restaurants all occasions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some of the front desk clerks are not friendly. Air ventilation is bad. Bad air in the room. The room was dark.

Nice and modern hotel, the rooms felt brand new. It was small but well planned, so I had enough space for everything I needed. The location is perfect too

Laundry was horrible. First, the washing machine didn’t manage to remove very basic dirt, but the dryer was even worser - when I took my clothes out of it, it was all covered with lint

    10RodrigoPosted on: 9-25-2025

The staff is very friendly, the room is big enough, and very clean.

The breakfast option is a bit expensive for what you get.

    10JohnnyPosted on: 9-22-2025

The hotel is really excellent, staff wonderful, close to all tourist attractions and the best thing is that the train station is just 4 minutes walking. It's super clean, and the bathroom is a poem. Hahaha, I love it. I will stay here again.

    9KennethPosted on: 9-21-2025

Buffet breakfast was very good, though it leans to Japanese tastes rather than Western. My room was nice, clean, contemporary design. Nice hotel location a few subway stations north of Kyoto station.

Late summer temps were high. Room AC was good and cold. Hotel common areas were a bit warm.

    10MattPosted on: 9-18-2025

Everything. The location is impeccable. Easy going, close to convenience stores, close to subway… Out of the way enough to really enjoy and relax. There’s a bakery just a few steps out of the hotel. Incredible.

No comment, genuinely. This place really sets a standard. Quiet but definitely well done.
