The staff was very friendly and professional. The bathroom was great and the water pressure of the shower was very strong. It was a quiet room and I didn't hear a bunch of stuff going on outside or in the next rooms.

The bed wasn't really that comfortable and a bit on the harder side. It was fine for just sitting and lounging, but it made it hard to fall asleep. The room was sufficient for a solo traveler, but might feel a bit too small for two.

Staff was so gracious and facilities were outstanding. Public bath was a great treat each evening.

The smoking room made the hallway smell of smoke.

Convenient location next to kyoto station, rooms have balconies so easy to get some fresh air, very clean, comfortable beds and friendly staff.

Loved it all. The spa and hot treatments were soothing. Breakfast room and food was great. It was cozy and helpful to have a restaurant in house for dinner or snack after a busy sightseeing day. The rationale for levels of housekeeping was appreciated.

I had the tan house slippers and found them awkward. I coveted the blue ones as they seemed newer and comfier, then spoke with a woman in the elevator in blue slippers who was doing the same with my tan ones! Anyway, all should perhaps have the blue ones. They would have provided them if I had said something. Enjoyed the night clothes!

Clean, location is very close to Kyoto station and shops and restaurants. Area feel safe. Hotel staff were extremely friendly! Room is nice and modern with a Japanese twist, hotel keeping did a very good job.

There are only 2 washer in my tower, always occupied. I had to use the other tower washer which is a short walk away, that’s actually fine. The most annoying thing I can think of it’s the washer dryer combo doesn’t do a good job on drying, pick up clothes 3 times, all are wet, I have to hung all the clothes all over the room to dry it.

The breakfast was very good — a big variety of dishes and everything was tasty. The location near Kyoto Station was convenient for getting around

For a 4-star hotel, we expected more. The biggest issue was the smell in our room — it was a mix of humidity and strong chemical cleaning products, and it never went away during our stay. I’m not sure if all rooms are like this, but the room we received definitely did not feel like a 4-star standard because of that. The room was also quite small, and the view faced a nearby building very closely, which made it feel even more cramped. Overall, the stay didn’t match the level of comfort we expected.

Excellent location being right across from Kyoto station made it easy to get around with a lot of options for shopping and eating very close by.They had a free crib which was a huge plus for us. Although it was a tad small for our little guy but he managed to get a full nights rest in. Staff were super friendly and helpful and greeted us as we came and went every time. They have free drinks like teas and coffees and juices at the restaurant which was a surprise for us and we enjoyed that small perk every day.

Given that we requested a crib it made the room even tighter with much less space so we had to request the removal of a chair so that we can walk around.

Loved this hotel. So clean and comfortable. Had a double twin room with bamboo floor and loved the Japanese feel. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet and AC worked well. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower space. Shower room was so nice and spacious in or out of the tub, you can get the whole room wet. A+ water pressure. The onsite onsen was wonderful, very relaxing after a day of walking and open till 1am. Breakfast every morning was quite a selection from western and eastern. Lastly location, location location this hotel is half a block away from the main entrance to the train station so you don’t have to drag your luggage very far and there’s a nice 7-Eleven across the street.
