The staff was very friendly, hotel.is very clean and very good location

Clean, great location!

They had a sign up for guests to not fill their water bottles up with the water that was in the lobby, which I thought was kind of ridiculous.

It was affordable and a walkable distance to where I needed to go.

Staff was basically nonexistent. Despite offering breakfast, there was no one at the front counter for me to retrieve it. I was quite disappointed about this.

The location, the room was big enouvh for me. My own bathroom with a tub. The neighbourhood was very quiet. In the hotel room, you hear no sounds from outside.

Plumbing issue with the wash sink. It was lugged and thus the water was draining away very slow.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Location is good.

I found the location very useful for walking to Gion (25 mins), Kiyomizu-dera (25 mins), Nishiki Market (15 mins) and the Kawaramachi shopping streets (10 minutes). Stations Kyoto-Kawaramachi, Gion-Shijo and Kiyomizu-Gojo are within walking distance (~15 mins). Comfortable bed, good-sized room for one person, always somebody available at reception. I was happy they could keep my luggage after checkout. There are konbinis and a Fresco nearby.

There were some (coffee?) stains on the wall (mostly behind a table) that had not been cleaned properly. Not aesthetic, but it did not bother me. Only two coat hangers and hardly any place to put luggage or clothes.

Basic hotel for basic needs. Tiny bathroom but clean. A few dust here and there. Should vacuum throughout the room. Heaps of food options near by

Excellent customer service. I had a small problem with the bathroom, so they upgraded me to a better room.

Very close to the shopping street and both bus and train stations, spacious rooms and on 6th floor we had nice view from window.

Bathroom smell awful and there was dirty water inside the glass.

Had the amenities needed and location was great to go around the city either by foot or transportation.

Bedsheets (top) not clean, Room was dusty (window area, around bed corners) and floors not clean in the corners. Entrance lobby had ceiling area on tape(?)

The shower curtain had mold. The hotel paper stated that I could have a late check out for free but the staff said I had to pay 1000 yen

old apartment building remodeled, felt a bit old and had a weird key, but again considering the price, it was a steal.

I really loved the location. Close to the stations and some great food places. There's a yummy Korean place around the corner that does nice lunch sets. The room was nice and compact. Perfect place to put your head down at the end of the day! Staff were friendly. Facilities were clean.

Iron before you go as there was only one iron that was in use so I couldn't iron my clothes.

Very central location

I was on floor 6. The room smelled like smoke and stale air. This did not go away after keeping the window open for hours, so probably due to the air circulation system. The surfaces and carpet were covered in dust. I contacted them via email to request early check-in but never heard back. When I arrived at the hotel the reception was unstaffed until 12 AM, there was a phone number you could call but nobody picked up. Thankfully I found a member of the cleaning team and with google translate I asked them if they could at least store my luggage, which they did.The staff spoke little to no English, which is incredible given how touristic the city is. Trying to ask for help to get a taxi to the station early the morning after was a joke. I think they tried to tell me (in Japanese) that you can just wave at a taxi and it will stop for you, but could not indicate where the nearest taxi stand might be. As if I could take the risk of missing my train to the airport! Thankfully Uber worked for me in the end.
