Green Rich Hotel Kyoto Station South (Artificial hot spring Futamata Yunohana)

Location, price, cleanliness and overall value.

Lack of flexibility with 1-2 hour early checkin. No english speaking staff.

Staff wanted to charge more for a Rm with 2 twin beds. We had made reservations long befor we went The hotel does NOT deserve to have more thn an 2 stars...we were deceived!!

This is a good hotel with superb staff. Several of the front desk staff spoke decent English and were extremely helpful in giving directions and help with local transportation, shops, restaurants..etc. The hotel still feels new, although it is 2 year old.

The double room I booked has everything one needs, but very small. It is good enough for a single traveller, but would be too crammed for two people. It has no closet or drawers, so you will have to leave things in your suitcase.

Everything was great - the staff members were friendly and helpful, the bath area was clean and the water hot, the breakfast had many choices, the room was comfortable and I loved have the extra pillow choices. I will stay here again.

The staff are really helpful and able to speak english. The location is also good but a needs a bit of a walk to the train station. The room are also spacious but maybe because we are upgraded. Breakfast is good as well.

We are staying in an Annex Building meaning that we need to cross to the other building for our rooms. Although it is only a short distance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Green Rich Hotel Kyoto Station South. The building and facilities are well designed and maintained, and the room was extremely clean, beautiful, and spacious. The staff was professional and organized, and provided secure luggage storage as well. The location was extremely convenient, walkable to the train station and many points of interest. Highly recommended!

Location is great, very convenient, very close to Kyoto station and supermarket

Double bed is quite small, was barely enough for a mom with 2 young kids. Please provide towels enough for all guests and 2 blankets. There was no bottled water, good that I brought mine just in case

I regret ever booking there and will never stay there again.

The bed was so rock hard I had to leave early and get a refund. They had rooms with better beds but were unwilling to give me one. I even bought a cushion for the bed, which didn’t help much. My second time complaining they said they could give me an extra blanket FOR A FEE. I left that day.They clearly did not want foreigners in their hotel. There was only one person behind the counter during my stay that was somewhat friendly. I was supposed to be there for a month, but was only there for over a week.

Near Kyoto station, the touristic Bus 205 (Final stop next to the hotel), the public bath (Onsen) included in the stay)

One elevator for 8 floors, but you have to wait only few seconds.Except this point, everything is good.

Good budget hotel near Kyoto station. Kinda small, but has everything you need. Also has a Onsen downstairs with sauna and showers which was really nice!

The smoker room smelled really bad, like really bad. And also upon arrival they forced me to pay a tax, even though the booking clearly stated all taxes and fees included. Either they change it in their booking app and charge the fee extra or have to change the booking to Tax paid at property"

Theres laundry room. Theres breakfast. There public bath but i didnt get to use it. Theres bus stop right in front.

The room was larger than expected and the traditional bathing area was massive too- it was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and our floor was surprisingly quiet. The breakfast was good as well.

It was a little hard to figure out how to work the room ac unit, so the room was stuffy and humid at times, when we would get back for the day (AC would only be on if you had a room card in the slot). We had to blast the AC to get the room to a cool enough temperature to sleep.

Location was good; cleanliness was great; it was quiet at night.

This is a neat hotel with regular facilities like air conditioner, mini refrigerator and an electric kettle. (I think they also have a sauna inside the hotel but we were out most of the day) My favorite thing about it was the bathroom. It was quite nicely designed. Location: Easily walkable from the subway station nearby (one stop from Kyoto stn) but also could walk to it if wanted directly from Kyoto Station (about 15-18 mins?) Also there is a bus stop in front of the hotel but probably not good to ride if you have luggage. Directly nearby the hotel there isn't much. Silent neighborhood. There is a 7-11 store 3-4 mins away. If you go back to Kyoto Station there are many restaurants and stores (terminal has a mall attached to it)

No microwave in room but that is normal for most hotel rooms. No smart TV.

Very clean room.

Despite the information given to the hotel with regard to 2 elderly occupants in wheelchair, we were given the small room. When we asked the reception if it was possible to have the bigger room as there were 4 of us, we were told rather bluntly that we had no choice but to take the assigned room for the night. The elderly man at the reception said that he could move us to the bigger room for the rest of our stay but we have to pay for both rooms. Throughout the whole conversation and during our subsequent interactions with him, there was absolutely no smile from him. Can’t help but to feel if we had offended him.
