MIMARU Kyoto Station

Well equipped amenities with close proximity to convenience stores and restuarants. Right across from main transportation hub, Kyoto Station.

The location was great. The staff was awesome and attentive. They spoke English well. The place was clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a 7-eleven next door. Kyoto station was a 3 minute walk.

The shower could have been cleaned better. The walls were thin and we could hear a baby crying next door. Also, we stayed on the first floor and there was vacuuming done very early in the morning that woke us up.

Location is perfect. Room size is wonderful. Staff are amazing.

The location is perfect, located behind Kyoto station. Room had a view of the station, has a sink, kitchen and supplies like cups and silverware. Avanti mall is about a 2-3 min walk, they have a Donki that closes at midnight if you need anything. Aeon mall is about a 10-12 min walk and team labs is about a 5-6 min walk. Hotel is great for families.

I wish the rooms had come with a washer/dryer but it did come with a coin laundry located on the first floor. At least it wasn’t busy when we needed to use it.

The location is good for easy access to shops and trains which is essential in Japan. However, the only view is a brick wall from neighbouring property.

Fantastic location across the street from Kyoto station. It has a fully featured kitchen and slept our family of 4 comfortably. The layout is perfect and designed to use every inch. The staff was very gracious helping us order taxis and storing luggage ( ahead of time and after checkin). The coin laundry on the first floor was a godsend after spending 5 days in Japan. There are conbini right next door and shopping! Excellent launch pad for travels around Kyoto, Nara and Osaka

The location was very convenient to Kyoto station - just at the corner diagonal to the east end of the station on the Hachijo-dori side of the station. There was a great A5 wagyu yakiniku restaurant around the corner and a Donki at the Aeon Mall across the street. Lots of places to eat at Kyoto station on the 10 and 11th floors. We had a room facing the station and it was fun to watch the Shinkansen trains coming and going. Room was quiet. Beds were a little stiff but that seemed to be the case for all of the places we stayed. I liked that the laundry room was near the reception desk (not secluded vs. the laundry room location at the Mimaru East Tokyo station location). There were about 4 or five washers and dryers and soap is dispensed automatically so no need to add your own. There is also a change machine in the laundry room that takes only 1000 yen bills. Staff was very nice.

A bit more counter space in the bathroom would have been nice. There also could have been more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, clothes, etc.

Room was great for the family of four. Kids loved bunk beds. Location is great, close to train station and restaurants, 7/11 is right around the corner. Great staff.

The only thing was not 10 out of 10 is pillows. It’s a bit too firm.

The location near Kyoto Station was perfect for our visit. We were able to drop our bags upon arrival until our room was ready. The staff was incredibly friendly explaining the hotel and additional amenities (i.e. toasters, board games, etc) that could be borrowed. They also made some recommendations based on what we were looking to do. The room was well-designed with a comfortable sitting/eating area and kitchenette, and a sleeping area. The entire space was clean and well-maintained. We opted for the eco-plan related to cleaning where we dropped towels and trash outside our door and the staff replaced that (which was all we needed for a short staff). The hotel is located on the "backside" of Kyoto station near the Shinkansen. My kids enjoyed watching the trains come and go. I also felt like it was a bit quieter than the main side which was nice for sleeping. Being near the station was great for getting around the city and surrounding area. There are multiple JR lines, metro and buses departing from the train station constantly. Additionally, there is a plethora of restaurants in/near station so you can easily grab food before heading to hotel after a day out sightseeing.

Depending on how deeply you sleep, there could be some noise disruptions at night (it is a city). However, it was quickly remedied for us with a sound machine.

The location was the best. The room itself was very comfortable and the dining table/kitchen facilities made it all the more homey for us. We loved how easy it was to go to the train station and the airport limousine bus terminal. Loved every moment we stayed at Mimaru Kyoto Station.

None that we could think of. I truly loveed the location, size of room, facilities, staff, etc.

The hotel staff were the most friendly and helpful that we had during our stay. We were very impressed by the service we received, and they provided a crib, diaper pail, baby bath, and blankets to make our stay with our infant so much more comfortable. In particular we'd like to recognize Anh, who worked hard to help us find an excellent baby sitter last minute so that we could enjoy a few dinner reservations without the baby. The location is excellent as well.We love Mimaru and this location is among the best we have stayed at.

Location is near kyoto station and easy to walk. Room is clean and big. Staffs are so nice.

Great location close to the Kyoto train station. Really convenient and the staff were really friendly.

Kids loved the view of the train station and had great space to relax after our big days out. They relaxed in their bunks or at the table which provided a great space for them.

Beds were really firm which we are not used to.

Very clean and modern facilities. The room was spacious and stylish. There were enough tools in the kitchen for cooking light meals. Staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Also, really convenient location, saved us so much time and trouble from having to figure out logistics.

Quiet , clean with very good services from staffs.

It may close the Kyoto station but may not convenient in the raining season because you have to carry it outdoor under the rain.
