Super clean. Quiet. Quality furnishings and bed and sheets etc. Cold A/C even with outside temperatures near 100 degrees. Large bathroom. I
Third time I have stayed. It’s perfect. Great value. Great bed. Great bathroom and shower. Clean. Quiet.
Spacious, love the kitchen and in unit washing machine, drying clothes was very convenient with the drying mode of the bathroom, except for no convenience stores very close by, love everything about this place, would stay here again if going to Kyoto.
Zen Kyoto Apartment Hotel is an exceptional boutique lodging in a perfect location just 3 minutes walk to the Takeda Station with frequent train and bus arrivals and departures. Our room and the common areas were immaculate and had everything we needed and more. We appreciated having an in room washer and dryer and enjoyed delicious locally sourced night caps and morning coffee downstairs. The koi fish are a great bonus! Thank you to all.of the wonderful staff!
Everything was wonderful!
Comfortably appointed. Quiet area. Very nice clean building. Close to the station. Very helpful that we could check in luggage before the room was ready.
5 minutes to Takeda station, decent size room.. luggage forwarding was easy
Mattress could be better
We loved staying here while we were in Kyoto. We drove and were able to leave our car in the parking lot, which was so convenient since parking in Kyoto can be difficult. The apartments are a short walk from public transportation, with plenty of options to reach the main parts of the city. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. We used the kitchen to cook breakfast, and they had a washer within the room and provided detergent and drying racks. The beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Kyoto!
Everything was great!
Spacious and modern
Pillows are not comfortable
We like the cleanliness, spacious of the hotel. Staff were very friendly & helpful. They reponse to our inquiry instantly.
Large room, clean and in a great location near station. Staff was amazing.
Great, close to the subway. There was a good place to park my bicycle.
Pillows.
Very nice modern hotel in quiet neighborhood. Roomy and clean. Nice terrace... Excellent front desk service...
The atmosphere is indeed Zen. The apartment is spacious and so is the bathroom. The kitchenette was nice as well. We got eggs and bread from the local 7/11 and used it to make breakfast in the mornings. The staff was super nice, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere quiet. It's a bit out of the way, but the train is a 5min walk away.
Apartment is well organised and nice quipped, Takeda station is 5 minutes walk, and staff is nice but lacks the ability to speak English. We enjoyed the room, all family in one space, be aware, no rooms or moving separation walls.
Location is not as great as described. Not far from Takeda station, however, familyMart is quite far, no stores “behind the corner” and no other attractions or things to do or where to eat around.
The location is quiet away from the tourists and traffic. It’s a nice area surrounded by farms and has some convenience stores nearby. The taxis are also available for easy access.
There was no dryer machine in our room, but we hung up our laundry to dry outside on a sunny day.
Overall clean place for a single day stay only
1. Location, too far from any central place for travellers. Inconvenient. Nearest convenience store is 7 mins walk.2. Rooms weren't cleaned daily, only once in 5 days do they clean, which was told only at check in.3. No replacement of towels, or water replenishment. Only once at check in.4. Trash wasn't cleared even once in 4 days5. Beds weren't comfortable, and gave a back ache6. Air conditioning was poor, room didn't cool even after keeping at 18 degrees C7. Late check out is almost 100$, irrespective of duration extended. Despite low occupancy.Overall highly disappointing. Better options at central locations available
The room was nice and comfortable, extremely close to a local subway station.
The room and hotel itself were tremendous. I just wish the luggage transfer rules and expectations were presented in a clearer manner.
