    • Great location and very comfortable.

    Cons -

    • Not really.
    • This hotel is way too expensive for what you get - there are much better options in Kyoto we found out too late. Tiny cave-like room overlooking a cemetery. Positive reviews are people who got lucky with rooms or are false. Terrible, find other option.
    • The room was on the smaller side. But, pretty standard compared to other room sizes I saw in Japan.

    Great location and very comfortable.

The property is located right next to all the action. So many food options just downstairs, and a bus stop located conveniently across the street.

The room was on the smaller side. But, pretty standard compared to other room sizes I saw in Japan.

very nice location, you can easily walk to shops and restaurants in the area! i also found the room to be more spacious than rooms in other hotels in Japan that i have stayed at. staff are friendly as well!

Great quiet location on a smaller street, 2 minutes walk from busy bustling Karawamachi St; hotel was very close 5 minutes walk to Nishiki market, while Gion, Yakasa shrine, Daimaru & Takashimaya shopping malls about 15 minutes walk.Room was very clean and cozy, bigger than the typical Japanese hotels, although bathroom was small and lacked space for toiletries. Hotel felt like a personalized boutique hotel with polite staff acknowledging guests on exiting and entering the hotel.Free coffee in the afternoon from the hotel dining area.

There was an electric kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags in the room . One can get some teabags from the breakfast room if one purchases breakfast. Breakfast was mainly Japanese fares as expected, but could be more varied. The fried eggs were always overcooked, cold rubbery, while and the scrambled eggs were watery. After 2 days, we were not as keen to eat breakfast at the hotel. The ice machine, washer/dryer and mini microwave oven were all in a small room on the 6th floor. It would be better if the microwave was on the 1st floor in the dining room area. It’s about 10 minutes walk to train station, hard to drag luggage on a very busy crowded road, but it’s not the hotel’s fault regarding people traffic. With 1 luggage per person, it was easier to get a taxi ride from and to Kyoto central station to get to the airport

    Good location.

The room was bigger that we expected, but worn out.

It’s located near many places to shop and eat . Very convenient.

Although staff was very nice , I wish they understood more English . But that’s minor . We’re in their country so we need to be more patient .

Location. ~100m to Nishiki Market, near train and bus stop.

Better if free coffee is served in the mornjng instead of 3pm to 9pm.

The location for this hotel is amazing, you are right next to all of the main walks for shopping, busses and trains a walking distance away with great access to all the attractions that you could want. Room was decent and the breakfast was decent.Although the staff didn't mention it, there was a coffee machine in the restaurant that had amazing matcha tea, not sure why the staff didn't mention, be aware the coffee is only available at certain times...

Not had this before, but no tea of coffee in the room, they don't give you any, and any bathroom things you needed you had to get from the front desk, they were not in the room. No independent climate controls in the room, all centrally controlled by the hotel, one day it was very cold in the hotel, so we and some other guests went down to the desk to complain about the temperature. Just screamed a bit of a hotel that is struggling with costs and trying to cut, strange as the location was great.

24hr front desk is very helpful. You can leave your luggages even after you checked out. Very good location as Teramachi shopping street is very very near. Morning breakfast choice like Starbucks or Douter coffee is very convenient. Uniqlo shop is a few meters away

In cold season month, the hotel control the temperature in the hotel and your room for warm comfort. If you prefer a little more cold in your room, you can't.

    8SeanPosted on: 12-23-2025

Typical amount of space for what you get in Japan but for about half the price. Free coffee was nice when we came back from cold walks at night. Great location to shopping, trains and restaurants. Staff was very helpful in letting us stay an extra night.

Lighting was a little on the dark side, would have been nice if it was a bit brighter.

Wonderful hotel. The location was great, so close to all the restaurants, nishiki and the river. Also not far away from public transport (train and bus) .The room was very suspicious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and kind

Spacious room with a nice bathroom that offers free coffee/beverages from 3 pm to 9 pm

    Hotel controlled temperatures

What I like about this hotel is the location.

They charged me 1,000 JPY just to dispose of a broken travel bag. The room wasn’t very clean, had old furniture, and was quite small. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Fantastic location and a lovely hotel with friendly staff.

The internet in my room was weak, making it tough to work and upload files. However, once I got to the reception area, I was able to download the file.

Very good location, good breakfast, value for money. We were on honeymoon and they upgraded our room

They could have provided a double bed rather than two single bed
