Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi

The rooms were an absolute dump. Lighting was terrible and some of the lights flickered when they were on. Location is not good. 10 minutes walk from central station but 25 plus minutes to get to any sites in Kyoto

The public bath and amenities were the best part. Staff was helpful.

The bed was very firm, personally hated it but the rest of the hotel room was perfect!

New and modern and is in a very good location. In a walking distance to the train station, shopping and food.

I love the services! The staffs there was nice and friendly. And their onsen was great!! Honestly didn't even knew they have one until we got there. Will def be back :3

The room was a bit smaller than the picture but it was doable.

The room was spacious and clean with enough space to open your suitcase and still move about the room without issue.

I have no complaints.

Location and breakfast

The room was extremely small, not enough space to keep to suitcases.For the second and third night, paid extra and got slightly better room.Booking.com disappointed me by recommending this hotel.

This hotel is really good for holiday, the have onsen facilities, free ice cream, free water, room so big in japan. Really recommend

Location, very cool and modern design and a great relaxed atmosphere. Room and breakfast very good.

The instructions for operating the microwave in the Elevator should be on the wall and in English too; the controls were in Japanese which was confusing.

The hotel entrance, lobby and lounge area were spacious and had modern architectural style and furnishings. The public bath and sauna were nice amenities. It was also convenient to have multiple washers and dryers available. We enjoyed the complimentary fruit bars and ice cream each evening.

The hotel rooms were good size however we were 3 adults and 3 beds in a room take up a lot of space. I wasn’t a fan of not having any space between the beds and having to crawl from the foot of the bed to get in and out.

Hotel was close to Kyoto Station or just another subway station connecting it to Kyoto. The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful with everything we needed. I would highly recommend!

The closest convenience store was about a five minute walk which isn’t far but definitely a bit tiring after a long day of exploring. Definitely not the end of the world though.

The shower flooded the entire bathroom, due to a small curtain.

Wonderful public bath, just like in some ryokan; very spacious rooms, especially for a Japanese hotel; and a great location within walking distance of the Kyoto station. Also a good wifi connection.

There is the same number of tumble dryers as there are washers (4 of each), but while washing cycle is 30 minutes, drying cycle is 100 minutes. As a result, there are always people with wet laundry, waiting for a dryer.

Comfortable beds. Fantastic breakfast. Great location. Friednly and helpful staff memers (used google translate without issue).

Customer service was excellent. We loved the public bath and ice cream treat.

It’s annoying when nobody speaks English, not a single person. Not one soul.

The room was excellent, breakfast was excellent, there are complimentary ice creams (great!). Very convenient in all general aspects.

Location is near Kyoto station but not close to the main attractions or commercial areas.
