KOKO HOTEL Kyoto Sanjo

It met what I was looking for. Staff was friendly and helpful.

There was a strange smell in the room. Most Japanese hotels I have stayed in are small. This one was a smaller than I expected, but fit what I needed.

Breakfast was extra and the hot food was not actually hot. The toilet room did not fit tall people well

I like the location.

There’s new set of towels provided every day, refreshments are free and available in the afternoon till night

That room cleaning is only available after 3 days

Basicly everything. Staff was incredibly helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms were well designed and very clean as its supposed to be.

This hotel is an amazing value: spotless, the largest hotel room we ever had in Japan, a generous, varied, and tasty breakfast buffet, coffee and soft drinks 24/7, attentive staff. We stayed for 5 nights and were sad to leave.

It was all perfect.

Shockingly good hotel in Kyoto. Rooms as large as a typical western hotel. Beds were a touch softer than the Japanese average so very comfortable. Staff was great and the available drink station was nice for getting a cold oolong tea after a lot of walking.

The room is big and has everything you need. Hotel provides pajamas and necessary things like toothbrush, hairbrush etc at the first floor as well as free coffees and other drinks. Location is perfect for tourists - close to the main places to visit by walking and also close to trains. We had breakfast - food is great, and menu changes a bit each day with diverse assortment of Japanese cuisine and European/Asian. Internet was good.

Bed was a little bit too soft. The housekeeping only changing the bed sheet but the room cleaning during stay should be improved

Location! Convenient in Sanjo BUT on a quiet street stations, shops like Bookoff, Family Mart and many restaurants. They helped us request Yamato deliver our bags to our hotel in Tokyo. Staff allowed us to keep our backpacks in their office after we checked out.

The room is clean and spacious; the breakfast is very good.

The location is quite far from Kyoto central and there’s limited options for restos nearby. To get to Kyoto station, you need to at least use 2 subway lines.

Logo on outside said KOKO hotel but reservation was for Wing hotel - learned only upon arrival that it’s the same hotel…

Hotel is nice, very clean, good value and location.

Some of the front desk staff can be downright rude to customers (older man at the front desk), especially when it pertains to the usage of the dining area. Several other travelers we met there felt the same way. It feels like customer service is not a priority, and they assume people are trying to cheat the breakfast system by default.

It was good value, it was clean, and about a 5-6 minute walk from the train station

It sometimes smelled like mildew in the hallway or in the room if you didn’t blast the AC

It was small but clean and comfortable. Me and two friends slept in a three bedroom room where the beds were extremely comfortable.

Helpful staff, location was close to train stations and bus stops. Comfortable bed and clean room.

The public space close at 10pm, the room is quite small.
