Karasuma Kyoto Hotel

Excellent customer service. Delicious buffet restaurant available in hotel for breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Nothing. We really liked this hotel.

Great location close to Gion and Nishiki Night market and the train. Very nicely designed and maintained.

Two bed room option has small beds full size I think so it was a little tight for my wife and I (our son was fine in the other bed).

It closes to many sightseeing spots so you can get there earlier before the crowds arrive.

The hotel is very centrally located to shopping, transportation, dining, attractions. So much was within walking distance to historic sites and more shops than we could see in 2 days. The hotel lobby presentation, cleanliness, and staff were super helpful. Adjacent to a Starbucks for an early morning waffle and espresso. Our subway train stop brought us right to it.

The only improvement would be the strength of the air conditioner. The rooms were of adequate size, but the air conditioner couldn't keep up to cool the room enough.

No breakfast. Location was good --- less than a hundred meters from the station!Front desk was courteous and pleasant, and quickly accommodated our request for extra bottles of water.

The hotel seems to have a glorious and luxurious past. The location is near the center and very close to a subway station. There are some restaurants nearby. The price is reasonable.

The facilities are not new. The bathroom is small with a low ceiling.

Really good spot, close to two subway lines. Room was comfortable and staff were helpful.

No easy laundry service. In order to do laundry guests are required to fill out a form and drop off their bag for the clothes to be sent to a nearby laundromat. Also charged by number of pieces.

The room temperature was hot. Air conditioner was set to a temperature and you cannot adjust it.

Great location.. v close to the train station and konbinis. Staff was good and the rooms were clean.

Carpet in room was outdated and had some stains. No onsite laundry but had to walk 5-10min which was fine.

The doors were opening with the keys not cards, there was no enough space for 3 people, small rooms.

The room was spacious, and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location with Shijo station just a few minutes' walk away. There are many convenience stores nearby and a Starbucks next door. Great amenities available in room as well as free bottles of water each day and free Wi-Fi available.Got to the hotel early and was able to leave my luggage to explore before returning for check in. Hotel as meet my room requests.

No laundry available. Air conditioner was set to warm and made the room warm and stuffy. Air conditioner temp could not be changed, and reception unlocked the window, however the window has a large opening which means unsafe if you have children in the room because it opens to a ledge on side of building. This was the only hotel to charge a city tax.
